A BLOG

A blog...truly what is it? What are readers really wanting to read? Tell me? What keeps their attention? All love to read something that they can directly relate to.
It is my desire to meet this..yet at the same time = challenge, teach and edify.
HOW????
Well, I have come to the conclusion though it would be just great-I am not able or even qualified to connect with all PEOPLES! :(
But, I am going to try and BE ME and share my heart.
Have you ever read  The Julie/Julia Project on blogs.salon.com? http://blogs.salon.com/0001399/?vm=r Ok, it's not Christian but highly successful and it was just about Julia Childs, French Cooking and her going through her cookbook in a year. They even made a movie!
It amazes me, really does. The author; Julie Powell just freely opened up her heart and basically her life to the world. They embraced her.
I think that is what we all need; don't you-for us all to be more OPEN and share our hearts. Knowing yea there will be goofy humans that will jump at the chance to step on your heart. Oh well, there will also be others out there that will feel the warmth of a big heart THAT LOVES GOD pouring out to them.
I connect deeply with that type of an individual myself. I feel more at home where I then can open up my heart and share all that I tend to keep bottled up.
We need to do that. There is so much wisdom to glean from, knowledge and hey-JOY & LAUGHTER. Yes, that is aloud in a Christian walk.
So, I hope to go on a journey with YOU. Join me, leave a comment or two. I need to hear from you, what happened today that gave you a big laugh, or made you cry or made your heart explode with a true revelation.
Now know this...I am all about serving my God-He is everything to me and always will be. I breathe God, I speak His Word...I love others so much because of Him. So, as you have seen already from my blog-I am about serving Him with all I am.
I don't want to be known as a silly girl that was just funny and liked to have a good time. I hope when God does call me home-I will have made His imprint on lives.
Talk at ya later!
Oh today is Thurs. March 3rd...no snow in IL, it is 53 degrees and I believe I see the sun popping out.
I enjoyed the story of Job today with the lesson applied that God does test us...though we face difficult times in life because of our boos boos. There are other times we are definately tested.
Have you been tested before? Tell me!

Comments

  1. I am tested on a daily basis! My kids - whew! LOL! Just today was tested by my 8yo - AGAIN! Bad attitudes are hard for me to deal with. But, I gotta remember to be a patient teacher to him and not let his attitudes bring me down. I think I passed the test okay today, praise God! Hey, I love the new look to your blog! Much brighter and easier to read!

FATHER'S DAY GIFT IDEAS FOR CHURCHES

7 FATHER'S DAY GIFT IDEAS FOR CHURCHES Out of desperation creativity is birthed. I hope to add on to this post through the years. Churches love to give to dad's on Father's Day; sometimes this can be redundant and or expensive. A few short years ago we stepped out of the Evangelistic & Pioneer work to take a small church that is just great and out of the box. So, of course budget is minimal and I am 'it' when it comes to holiday decor and gifting ideas & doing them. The 4 gifts that my family and I put together are as follows:                       POPCORN/CANDY/MOVIE  We placed microwave popcorn, candy bar and a special Father's Day poem inside a popcorn bag.  FRAMED ART FROM LOCAL ARTIST/MINISTER  (Rev. Paul Gray)  MADE THIS INTO A FRAME & ADDED A PEN.                                             MINI GIFTS WRAPPED IN A HANKIE Pocket knife, Voice of the Martyrs Pendant  & candy! Al

BRINGING PEACE TO YOUR HUSBAND

Two posts (blogs) ago I said I would continue to look at attaining true peace in our lives. [Sweet Tranquility] Then I promised you that I would continue to expound on having this peace spread through out our home beginning with ‘we’ ladies being the vessel of peace for our husbands.  As I have prayed over this, studied it in God’s Word and in other resources for quite awhile…my ending prognosis is that this study could continue for decades! Peace ; we pray for peace, it's our New Years Resolutions ...it is a salutation in most countries. Yet, everywhere we turn we only observe fruits of turmoil (opposite of peace).  In three thousand  three hundred and fifty years between 1500 B.C. and 1850 A.D. there were only 286 years spent without a war taking place on the globe somewhere. That's thirteen years of war for every year of peace. At that same period of time eight thousand peace treaties were broken.  Today;  2 million couples have used a lethal weapon on their spouses

Living the Dream

I have probably one of the most 'spiritual' face book home pages around. My friends post scriptural banners, quotes, prayer requests & praises . I usually get a great up-lift reading my face book. Recently, it seemed many were writing about 'Dreams'. One really jumped out; basically they were challenging the thought (I believe fact) dreams are every day; what we are experiencing today, which is our family, friends, experiences, work, ministry and prayer times. I have always been a dreamer since I was a little girl. When I was little I loved the Walton's-needless to  say my dream then (get this now): was to be a writer, movie star, have 7 kids and live in a big house in the country. Uh huh...yup; unrealistic; but I sure loved the Walton's. Then, when I turned 12 yrs. old at church camp the Lord called me into the Mission Field. When I turned 14 yrs. old, the Lord gave me a heart for India; and was blessed with the opportunity of going there as well.
