To Complain in Low Mumbling Tones

Ouch! A term that I can most defiantly identify with, as well as everyone who has ever lived can too! MURMURING!
Philippians 2:14 "Do all things without murmurings and disputings:" [KJ] The American Standard even said; "Do all things without murmurings and questionings:" still yet another says; "without protests and arguments:"
Today, when I asked my young daughter to do an unpopular chore, I heard the quiet murmur. I will have to tell you that it actually hurt me. It deeply affected my spirit, then my mood. I had to ask God to give me His grace for the moment. Then He graciously prompted me how familiar He is with this emotion as well. The emotion of being hurt and grieved how His own children complain constantly about almost everything.
Major conviction there! My mind did a quick re-play on  just a few of the moments I have murmured to myelf (and others). If God would play the dvd of my life just on my murmuring moments it would fill up my computers capacity! Sad too...cause each time never helped me, but hurt HIM.
This is of course is beside the fact how our protests and questionings hurt others and the Kingdom of God as a whole.
Ask God to prompt you when the murmurs and disputings seem to gush out of your spirit through your mouth. "Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks" [Luke 6:45]. We don't want this anger, distrust and selfishness to be in our heart anyways.
I know I could and maybe should go deeper. Presently, I ask you to pray with me--"Lord Jesus, I ask for Your forgiveness right now...I am sorry for my selfish heart, for not trusting you and allowing anger to rule my life. I am so sorry for complaining about doing all you have told me to do. In Your Name I pray-Amen."

FATHER'S DAY GIFT IDEAS FOR CHURCHES

7 FATHER'S DAY GIFT IDEAS FOR CHURCHES Out of desperation creativity is birthed. I hope to add on to this post through the years. Churches love to give to dad's on Father's Day; sometimes this can be redundant and or expensive. A few short years ago we stepped out of the Evangelistic & Pioneer work to take a small church that is just great and out of the box. So, of course budget is minimal and I am 'it' when it comes to holiday decor and gifting ideas & doing them. The 4 gifts that my family and I put together are as follows:                       POPCORN/CANDY/MOVIE  We placed microwave popcorn, candy bar and a special Father's Day poem inside a popcorn bag.  FRAMED ART FROM LOCAL ARTIST/MINISTER  (Rev. Paul Gray)  MADE THIS INTO A FRAME & ADDED A PEN.                       ...

BRINGING PEACE TO YOUR HUSBAND

Two posts (blogs) ago I said I would continue to look at attaining true peace in our lives. [Sweet Tranquility] Then I promised you that I would continue to expound on having this peace spread through out our home beginning with ‘we’ ladies being the vessel of peace for our husbands.  As I have prayed over this, studied it in God’s Word and in other resources for quite awhile…my ending prognosis is that this study could continue for decades! Peace ; we pray for peace, it's our New Years Resolutions ...it is a salutation in most countries. Yet, everywhere we turn we only observe fruits of turmoil (opposite of peace).  In three thousand  three hundred and fifty years between 1500 B.C. and 1850 A.D. there were only 286 years spent without a war taking place on the globe somewhere. That's thirteen years of war for every year of peace. At that same period of time eight thousand peace treaties were broken.  Today;  2 million coup...

Living the Dream

I have probably one of the most 'spiritual' face book home pages around. My friends post scriptural banners, quotes, prayer requests & praises . I usually get a great up-lift reading my face book. Recently, it seemed many were writing about 'Dreams'. One really jumped out; basically they were challenging the thought (I believe fact) dreams are every day; what we are experiencing today, which is our family, friends, experiences, work, ministry and prayer times. I have always been a dreamer since I was a little girl. When I was little I loved the Walton's-needless to  say my dream then (get this now): was to be a writer, movie star, have 7 kids and live in a big house in the country. Uh huh...yup; unrealistic; but I sure loved the Walton's. Then, when I turned 12 yrs. old at church camp the Lord called me into the Mission Field. When I turned 14 yrs. old, the Lord gave me a heart for India; and was blessed with the opportunity of going there as well. ...
