LOVE GREW

Al & Beth Roberts Children convey their love for Christ's Resurrection. (Jaron, Jared & Gracie)

"Love grew where the Blood fell. Flowers of Hope sprang out for men in misery. SIN DIED...where the BLOOD FELL, I am so glad His Precious Blood has covered me."

THROUGH-OUT THIS POST PLEASE NOTE THE SWEET DRAWINGS PRECIOUS CHILDREN DREW; CONVEYING THEIR LOVE FOR JESUS.

I use to sing that song every Good Friday while we Pastored in Texas. The power of this reality  still rings true today. "Sin died...where the Blood fell!"  He  suffered and died, why? Not because of Him-but because He loved Man! Wow!
This Good Friday marks three important birthdays in my family...my son, Nathan (physically is 19) will be 15 years in the Lord then Felecia  (who is 12 yrs. phys.) will be 8 years in the Lord; I had the Honor to be the vessel used of God to lead them into the Kingdom. My husband, Brad led our youngest Tabitha  (8 yrs.) old to Jesus as well; she will be three years.
Felecia Snowden feels her love of Jesus' sacrifice deeply.

We can never under estimate the power of the parent. In Deut. 6 we are instructed to constantly be teaching our children in every way and at all times God's Word and yes His Love.
Tabitha (Tabby) even adds the purple. She recognizes the Love that Jesus showed then and now.
My husband and I have the vision from God that WE (He and I) are the ones to teach, train and love our children into the Kingdom (and disciple as well) along the way.
Take a quick look at these Stats:
"...less than two out of three adults (63%) who were churched as children take their own children to a church." [Barna]

"The most shocking ... revealed that adults from both the churched-as-children and unchurched-as-children segments held similar views - often at odds with biblical teaching - regarding the existence of the Holy Spirit, the reality of Satan, the means to eternal salvation, the perceived accuracy of the Bible, and the holiness of Jesus Christ."  [Barna]

"Seven in 10 Protestants ages 18 to 30 — both evangelical and mainline — who went to church regularly in high school said they quit attending by age 23, according to the survey by LifeWay Research. And 34% of those said they had not returned, even sporadically, by age 30. That means about one in four Protestant young people have left the church." [USA Today; C. Grossman]

Why are young people dropping out of the church and more so turning from the Lord; Who loves them dearly? Reasons that were stated is that they felt people don't care, too busy, as well as;...

"More than half (52%) had religious, ethical or political reasons..." [Grossman]

Question to my readers in the retrospect that  God gave us our children...we are the vessels that God used for them to live in this world. Ok, then why is it that adults leave the Spiritual teachings and  discipleship up to the Church? In my understanding, the church is a supplement not the main resource. God made parents to shepherd our sheep. (I am coming from a heart of a pastor!) If we show we care as well as being diligent in teaching them about God's Word, His love and how to serve Him-facts do state for themselves our kids will serve Christ even as adults.

I grew up in  a godly home. I attended Sunday School, went to church my entire life. Yet, the #1 Reason I serve Jesus today is because I saw, heard and felt God's love and grace from my parents---DAILY!

I asked a few friends to send me pictures that their children drew and colored about Jesus, Easter and the Cross. As well as for them to tell me what Jesus means to them personally. These are parents who I have seen teach JESUS, in their homes. I see God's love in the hearts of their precious children.

Parents lets; "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." [Prov. 22:6]
My girlfriend Vicky's daughter...love those crosses.

I will fight for my children's souls by working hard now to live Christ before them, show His Grace...help them to know all about the CROSS in every way. How about you?
My girlfriend's little boy...can't you see the Joy?

Back to the beginning of my post; "Love Grew!" Love grew, hear my heart...Jesus' Blood is alive today. He lives in our hearts; we transport that love (infusion) into the hearts of children. As we see them physically grow we also shall see our 'baby's' precious little souls grow in God, planted richly in Him...fed with the nutrients of His Word coming from hearts that love them with all our life.
"Love grew where the Blood
fell...flowers of HOPE sprang out..."
"...It broke the chains of sin and set man free!"

  2. I meant to send a picture from Caleb, but it just never happened. I really like the ones posted here though. These are truly sad statistics. My heart breaks over these.

  3. Oh I love these pictures! It is said that art reveals the mind of the artist. What a delight that these little artists are mulling over what the real meaning of Easter is! Thank you for the encouragement to "infuse" our love of Christ into our children.

FATHER'S DAY GIFT IDEAS FOR CHURCHES

7 FATHER'S DAY GIFT IDEAS FOR CHURCHES Out of desperation creativity is birthed. I hope to add on to this post through the years. Churches love to give to dad's on Father's Day; sometimes this can be redundant and or expensive. A few short years ago we stepped out of the Evangelistic & Pioneer work to take a small church that is just great and out of the box. So, of course budget is minimal and I am 'it' when it comes to holiday decor and gifting ideas & doing them. The 4 gifts that my family and I put together are as follows:                       POPCORN/CANDY/MOVIE  We placed microwave popcorn, candy bar and a special Father's Day poem inside a popcorn bag.  FRAMED ART FROM LOCAL ARTIST/MINISTER  (Rev. Paul Gray)  MADE THIS INTO A FRAME & ADDED A PEN.                                             MINI GIFTS WRAPPED IN A HANKIE Pocket knife, Voice of the Martyrs Pendant  & candy! Al

BRINGING PEACE TO YOUR HUSBAND

Two posts (blogs) ago I said I would continue to look at attaining true peace in our lives. [Sweet Tranquility] Then I promised you that I would continue to expound on having this peace spread through out our home beginning with ‘we’ ladies being the vessel of peace for our husbands.  As I have prayed over this, studied it in God’s Word and in other resources for quite awhile…my ending prognosis is that this study could continue for decades! Peace ; we pray for peace, it's our New Years Resolutions ...it is a salutation in most countries. Yet, everywhere we turn we only observe fruits of turmoil (opposite of peace).  In three thousand  three hundred and fifty years between 1500 B.C. and 1850 A.D. there were only 286 years spent without a war taking place on the globe somewhere. That's thirteen years of war for every year of peace. At that same period of time eight thousand peace treaties were broken.  Today;  2 million couples have used a lethal weapon on their spouses

Living the Dream

I have probably one of the most 'spiritual' face book home pages around. My friends post scriptural banners, quotes, prayer requests & praises . I usually get a great up-lift reading my face book. Recently, it seemed many were writing about 'Dreams'. One really jumped out; basically they were challenging the thought (I believe fact) dreams are every day; what we are experiencing today, which is our family, friends, experiences, work, ministry and prayer times. I have always been a dreamer since I was a little girl. When I was little I loved the Walton's-needless to  say my dream then (get this now): was to be a writer, movie star, have 7 kids and live in a big house in the country. Uh huh...yup; unrealistic; but I sure loved the Walton's. Then, when I turned 12 yrs. old at church camp the Lord called me into the Mission Field. When I turned 14 yrs. old, the Lord gave me a heart for India; and was blessed with the opportunity of going there as well.
