DESPERATE ENOUGH TO PRAY!

"And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:" Daniel 9:3
It's time NOW...we have no more time but to...PRAY! It's a busy world we live in isn't it? Personally, my family and I have somewhere to go and something to do at a continual basis.
We are WORE out! I look at my husband who is a father of 3, Pastor, owns his own Carpentry/Roofing business, in the Ministers Alliance, and an Area Director for the Voice of the Martyrs- I see before me an exhausted man. Yet, like everyone else we can't stop going!
...OR CAN WE?
The Lord is calling His Children to;  "come and dine", "seek till you find me", "cry out to me!"
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Out of a deep NEED and DESPERATION for what God wants for our lives...we, as His children will turn to FASTING as we pray.
Fasting always relates to food in God's Word. Withholding oneself from simply eating. Yet, as we do this as a desire for more of God; wanting His all to be in complete control of our lives, for His Hand to move on us-healing the spiritual, physical, emotional, financial, marital, family, our churches and land. You see, there is nothing our God cannot do...yet we can get in His way.
The time we spend fasting and praying will take us into dimensions with Him we may never experience else wise.
I was just counselling a young lady who is needing some spiritual and emotional healing in her life. At the same time she also has a passion to be used of God in a ministry capacity. The Lord impressed on me to tell her that she needs to take time out of her crazy schedule...TO STOP THE HORSES! Get out of the buggy of life to fast and pray.
This is what God has shown me:
When you start to fast and pray He will take you down this path...
1st You will be fighting anger, hurt and pain. God is going to bring things to the surface in your life that you never really wanted to deal with. But, it's time and He wants it out of your life.
2nd Once He has been allowed to cleanse you, there will be this feeling of being antsy. Your heart/soul will feel a bit barren...empty. Fear may try to creep in. Here is where you surrender totally to Jesus-invite Him into every crevice of your life. He will too!
3rd Fulfillment has come as Jesus has been allowed to fill you up with His Holy Spirit. You will feel invincible...that is the anointing of the Holy Spirit!
4th This is when you then MAKE YOUR SUPPLICATIONS...that is your requests known to God. You will have His Word with you...quoting His promises of healing, provision, directions and so on. You will know by faith, mountains are being moved.
5th The Lord will then direct...it may not be during this time period. But, He will! His anointing will draw you into His Will for your life. You should pray the prayer of favor as God will also bring people to your life to be that answer of prayer.
Lastly, you will be a new you! His child in total fulfillment living the life He has created you for! Isn't that what life is really all about anyways?

Those who have taken time to read this...I challenge you; only as God leads you...take that TIME-OUT in your crazy, busy life to simply SEEK HIM.
After you do this, start a prayer meeting with a group of friends and pray together. Spread this blessing and see how God can use you to be a major part of a great break through needed in the difficult days we live.

If you do, stop back by and share your testimony here. If you already have had an amazing experience fasting and praying...share as well.

The Lord bless you and bless you again and again!

  2. Just had an amazing time with my dh doing this for almost an entire week of praying and seeking God. Fasted almost 1/2...but getting away from it all-no computer, texting, tv just nature, the Word of God and my dh.
    Wow!
God was so faithful leading us and then touching us so deeply. Revelations, strength...we came back feeling as if we went to a spa... A PRAYER SPA!

FATHER'S DAY GIFT IDEAS FOR CHURCHES

7 FATHER'S DAY GIFT IDEAS FOR CHURCHES Out of desperation creativity is birthed. I hope to add on to this post through the years. Churches love to give to dad's on Father's Day; sometimes this can be redundant and or expensive. A few short years ago we stepped out of the Evangelistic & Pioneer work to take a small church that is just great and out of the box. So, of course budget is minimal and I am 'it' when it comes to holiday decor and gifting ideas & doing them. The 4 gifts that my family and I put together are as follows:                       POPCORN/CANDY/MOVIE  We placed microwave popcorn, candy bar and a special Father's Day poem inside a popcorn bag.  FRAMED ART FROM LOCAL ARTIST/MINISTER  (Rev. Paul Gray)  MADE THIS INTO A FRAME & ADDED A PEN.                       ...

BRINGING PEACE TO YOUR HUSBAND

Two posts (blogs) ago I said I would continue to look at attaining true peace in our lives. [Sweet Tranquility] Then I promised you that I would continue to expound on having this peace spread through out our home beginning with ‘we’ ladies being the vessel of peace for our husbands.  As I have prayed over this, studied it in God’s Word and in other resources for quite awhile…my ending prognosis is that this study could continue for decades! Peace ; we pray for peace, it's our New Years Resolutions ...it is a salutation in most countries. Yet, everywhere we turn we only observe fruits of turmoil (opposite of peace).  In three thousand  three hundred and fifty years between 1500 B.C. and 1850 A.D. there were only 286 years spent without a war taking place on the globe somewhere. That's thirteen years of war for every year of peace. At that same period of time eight thousand peace treaties were broken.  Today;  2 million coup...

Living the Dream

I have probably one of the most 'spiritual' face book home pages around. My friends post scriptural banners, quotes, prayer requests & praises . I usually get a great up-lift reading my face book. Recently, it seemed many were writing about 'Dreams'. One really jumped out; basically they were challenging the thought (I believe fact) dreams are every day; what we are experiencing today, which is our family, friends, experiences, work, ministry and prayer times. I have always been a dreamer since I was a little girl. When I was little I loved the Walton's-needless to  say my dream then (get this now): was to be a writer, movie star, have 7 kids and live in a big house in the country. Uh huh...yup; unrealistic; but I sure loved the Walton's. Then, when I turned 12 yrs. old at church camp the Lord called me into the Mission Field. When I turned 14 yrs. old, the Lord gave me a heart for India; and was blessed with the opportunity of going there as well. ...
