Reward in Life

Indulge me as I share a quote that strikes at the core of the soul:
"We're not going to be rewarded for being successful.
We will be rewarded for being faithful."
Rev. Paul F. Gray
No matter what we do or not...there is promised a reward. We do determine what reward we are reaching for; being it monetary, physical, emotional, social and then spiritual. What we invest in the most is where the reward usually comes in...correct?
Is this it? Our hope for life? Are we going about this LIFE that was given to us with the right directive?
Maybe we need to think not only about the reward, but take notice on; WHO is going to give us this reward? Will this reward just reflect ME and stop right at my feet or will my rewards continue on for the generations? One more question; what is the motive that even motivates us to attain the rewards we long for?
Contemplating all of this (if allowed) can move our spirits, bringing us hopefully to a place of total surrender to the One Who did create us for a great PURPOSE; Who has many rewards to shower upon us!
The big problem with humans though is we want our REWARD now! We want to SEE it, play with it, use it and then sit it on shelf for others to see as it collects dust.
Unfortunately, real life isn't like that....recall with me the scripture- deep calls unto the deep (Ps.42:7). The God of the universe formed us, breathed His life into us...made us into HIS image! Life is far more than the rewards that are just temporary ... life is eternal! The mindset of God's children: is to attain the Prize that can both be for now, yet more importantly; for eternity! Furthermore, this type of a reward  takes a life time, it requires sacrifice and obedience. As the quote above stated it takes being FAITHFUL!
In my devotions today with my daughter we read Galatians 6, in verse 8 we are given a true hard core lessen of complete truth.
"For he who sows to his own flesh (lower nature, sensuality) will from the flesh reap decay and ruin and destruction, but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life."
Amen! So true as we grow deeper in Jesus, as we face insurmountable trials-the deep now is in tune with the deep: HIS SPIRIT! Our steps each day mean more; affecting other lives for eternity. One great reward...A SOUL,  a life changed because of your life...saved from the pits of hell to life everlasting with Jesus! Numero Uno-bestest reward EVER!
God has so much for us here on this earth but even more so in Heaven above!  "His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'" [Matt. 25:21]
It will be worth it all...when we see Jesus-Just one glimpse of His dear face:
JESUS OUR REWARD!

FATHER'S DAY GIFT IDEAS FOR CHURCHES

7 FATHER'S DAY GIFT IDEAS FOR CHURCHES Out of desperation creativity is birthed. I hope to add on to this post through the years. Churches love to give to dad's on Father's Day; sometimes this can be redundant and or expensive. A few short years ago we stepped out of the Evangelistic & Pioneer work to take a small church that is just great and out of the box. So, of course budget is minimal and I am 'it' when it comes to holiday decor and gifting ideas & doing them. The 4 gifts that my family and I put together are as follows:                       POPCORN/CANDY/MOVIE  We placed microwave popcorn, candy bar and a special Father's Day poem inside a popcorn bag.  FRAMED ART FROM LOCAL ARTIST/MINISTER  (Rev. Paul Gray)  MADE THIS INTO A FRAME & ADDED A PEN.                                             MINI GIFTS WRAPPED IN A HANKIE Pocket knife, Voice of the Martyrs Pendant  & candy! Al

LET US TRUST THE PROCESS OF PRUNING

Did you ever read this verse in John 15:2 and think, "that's extreme, can't we just hold onto these extra branches that grew once and bore amazing, fruit?" I have definitely !   Then life happens! In that life, we make a decision to dig deeper in our relationship with Jesus Christ. Yet, as we do, we face obstacles (or that's what we called them) that challenged us to trust Jesus to do what He wills in our lives.  I believe this place is a milestone in the timeline of our lives. Will we continue to walk ever so close to the Lord, realizing as we do, He will prune us? Will we desire to be producers of His fruit and life flow through us? Many of us realize that this means more obstacles, cuts, bleeding, times of dormancy and simple hurt.  This is when the milestone comes; will we accept this pruning and be fruitful or just become branches that become brittle, and ragged?  A lot of questions to ponder, but I feel God wants to use each and everyone of His children in o

Thank You For Asking

(c)Daneille Gray Snowden 2022 Today, I was deeply touched in my heart when a dear friend asked how my husband was. I did not mention it first, out of the blue; she asked about something dear to my heart. This wasn't the first time as she has  asked about different matters in my life several times. May I tell you how that made me feel? It made me feel cared for, loved and set back how someone cares intensely about me and my life. How often do you personally experience such care and interest from others? And, as I ask myself this too; how often do we reach out and ask others how they are? When people as a whole reach out in such a way, we see the creation power of God as hearts are connected to one another and a strong foundation is beginning to be built for a lasting relationship.  I love it when I hear conversations in church  or in my home when I  listen to their questions of wanting to learn of others situations, experiences, needs and even joys. The questioner is totally focused
