WE CAN'T BE SANTA....BUT WE CAN BE JESUS TO OTHERS!

My son had been playing music over his computer as we all were baking cookies the past few days. He put on the Muppet's and I heard; 'I Wish I Could Be Santa Clause'. Of course it was cute: Fozzie and Gonzo were singing!
The song is written by  Paul Williams and here is look at some of the lyrics:

"I Wish I Could Be Santa Claus.

For just one day.

I'd fill a bag with kindness.
And I'd give it all away.
I'd make the world a better place.
I'd do that if I could
I love the way it feels inside.
When I do Something good.

We know that love.

Can bless the heart.

When tears begin to fall.
We know that love is the
 message of the season.
                                           The greatest gift.
And yes, One size fits all..."

Bring the Gift of Jesus to all!
We can't be Santa...but we can do one a WHOLE LOT better! We can be Jesus to the world and still bring kindness, help, strength, hope and even provision in countless ways. {Being Jesus-i.e. being 'like' Jesus.}  Mark 16:15 "And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race]". When we preach, we reach out carrying Christ to the entire world.
We shall feed the hungry, visit the sick and in prison. Take care of our elderly and love as Christ loved one another. Remember the 'Sheep & the Goats' illustration that Jesus taught (Matt. 25:31-46)? Clothing ones, give to drink the thirsty (& feed the hungry), comfort those who need comforted and be a listening ear.
This is better than being Santa wouldn't you agree?
I read this little story and thought that it apply's well to the Body of Christ during the holiday season. Please read on and enjoy this nugget from our history books and be touched with the morsel of truth it brings.
"Christ has no hands but ours."
"During World War II when the Nazis were bombing London, there was an Anglican Church that had a statue of Jesus on their lawn with his arms outstretched. The caption below the statue read, “Come unto me all you who labor and are heavy laden.” As the bombs fell, the Anglican Church was destroyed and the statue was blown up. When the members started to rebuild the church and replace the statue, they discovered the arms and hands were so pulverized from the bombing they could not be salvaged. They could have chosen to manufacture new hands and arms for the statue, but they chose not to.
Today, the statue of Jesus Christ stands outside the London church with no arms, and the caption has been changed to read, “Christ has no hands but your hands. And Christ has no arms but our arms.” We are the body of Christ, and if the body of Christ is going to move, it is going to be by our feet. If the body of Christ is going to hug, it is going to be by our arms. If the body of Christ is going to speak, it is going to be through our mouth. We are the body of Christ." So, let's be Jesus and sure we can carry a bag of goodies to children as well as dress in funny colorful clothes. Just share Him and bring true hope and life as you give Jesus out to all!
Merry Christmas to all my readers across this entire world. May you be filled with Christ's Joy bubbling over!

FATHER'S DAY GIFT IDEAS FOR CHURCHES

7 FATHER'S DAY GIFT IDEAS FOR CHURCHES Out of desperation creativity is birthed. I hope to add on to this post through the years. Churches love to give to dad's on Father's Day; sometimes this can be redundant and or expensive. A few short years ago we stepped out of the Evangelistic & Pioneer work to take a small church that is just great and out of the box. So, of course budget is minimal and I am 'it' when it comes to holiday decor and gifting ideas & doing them. The 4 gifts that my family and I put together are as follows:                       POPCORN/CANDY/MOVIE  We placed microwave popcorn, candy bar and a special Father's Day poem inside a popcorn bag.  FRAMED ART FROM LOCAL ARTIST/MINISTER  (Rev. Paul Gray)  MADE THIS INTO A FRAME & ADDED A PEN.                                             MINI GIFTS WRAPPED IN A HANKIE Pocket knife, Voice of the Martyrs Pendant  & candy! Al

LET US TRUST THE PROCESS OF PRUNING

Did you ever read this verse in John 15:2 and think, "that's extreme, can't we just hold onto these extra branches that grew once and bore amazing, fruit?" I have definitely !   Then life happens! In that life, we make a decision to dig deeper in our relationship with Jesus Christ. Yet, as we do, we face obstacles (or that's what we called them) that challenged us to trust Jesus to do what He wills in our lives.  I believe this place is a milestone in the timeline of our lives. Will we continue to walk ever so close to the Lord, realizing as we do, He will prune us? Will we desire to be producers of His fruit and life flow through us? Many of us realize that this means more obstacles, cuts, bleeding, times of dormancy and simple hurt.  This is when the milestone comes; will we accept this pruning and be fruitful or just become branches that become brittle, and ragged?  A lot of questions to ponder, but I feel God wants to use each and everyone of His children in o

Thank You For Asking

(c)Daneille Gray Snowden 2022 Today, I was deeply touched in my heart when a dear friend asked how my husband was. I did not mention it first, out of the blue; she asked about something dear to my heart. This wasn't the first time as she has  asked about different matters in my life several times. May I tell you how that made me feel? It made me feel cared for, loved and set back how someone cares intensely about me and my life. How often do you personally experience such care and interest from others? And, as I ask myself this too; how often do we reach out and ask others how they are? When people as a whole reach out in such a way, we see the creation power of God as hearts are connected to one another and a strong foundation is beginning to be built for a lasting relationship.  I love it when I hear conversations in church  or in my home when I  listen to their questions of wanting to learn of others situations, experiences, needs and even joys. The questioner is totally focused
