WE ARE HERE FOR: WHY?

WE ARE HERE FOR:   WHY?

Artist drew this for us, to let us know how much
he appreciated the Love we showed before he
took his life.

Have you ever been at a place; literally living somewhere, attending a church, working at a place and wonder --'WHY AM I HERE?'

Sometimes, it just feels we are going through the motions just moving about our everyday tasks. It's as if we are in a race, swimming as hard as we can to get to the finish and hopefully win. Yet, when we get to that place, we find there is yet another race.

I picture myself doing this, then - ALL OF SUDDEN...stopping, and looking around me. Discovering there are people all around me; swimming, struggling, and some drowning and all their eyes, too are on the same finish line (of life).

Perspective totally changes, our vision and life goals are rerouted off of my/our finish line and onto helping others in whatever way we can possibly contribute.

For me, it's pointing to the ultimate strength and hope for all man/womankind: Jesus Christ. Without Him not much gets accomplished in the realm He created us all to be. That is to encourage, pray for, give and serve others.

The greatest thing for anyone who is a child of God, is to lead others to the Salvation of their souls! Being a part of this amazing, momentous event is the 'highest' feeling anyone can experience. Throwing out the 'Life-Line' to people is that: SAVING THEIR LIVES.

My parents neighbor for the past 15 plus years just passed away yesterday. She and her husband have been the best neighbors to them. Although, as my parents would reach out and tell them more about Jesus they just received a polite refusal. Yet, they continued to reach out and this couple continued enjoying the fellowship they had with my parents. This past week, the lady called and the Holy Spirit prompted my father to ask about her soul again. They talked and she bubbly opened up and said she rededicated her life back to Jesus and prays all the time to Him. She died two days later. Her husband come over right after her death, pouring out his heart. He was able to hear of his wife's last conversation with my father. He then gave his heart as well to Jesus.

My parents live in a simple neighborhood, longing to do more for Christ. Yet, they have led several to the Lord and prayed for many who have been despondent and ill.

I recall one time, our next door neighbor had her cousin staying with her for awhile. The Lord had used me to lead my neighbor to Christ. Thus, I started a friendship with her cousin as well. He was very quiet, and quite respectful but unfortunately, unmoved. So, I didn't press him anymore. One day, he was alone and very depressed and took his life. The last days of his life, he had drawn the first picture above (of Jesus) for us to have. It has been in my living room everyday since. Not only do I love Who the figure in the drawing is...but it is also a reminder...I (Daneille) AM HERE --- At this particular address for:  A LIFE - A SOUL.

I/We are at our local churches for the people who need God's Love in different ways. We are at the local grocery store to shed God's Glorious LIGHT in the darkness. We work next to a soul or souls who need to hear and feel God's Love.

So much of our lives is all about 'US' in the race of life, and not seeing those all around.

Remember, so many are hurting out there and we may be the only Jesus they will see. Save a life, reach out and 'THROW-OUT THE LIFE LINE'. For life is very short, time is ticking and we have a work to do.

For we are here to give hope, and life to this world!

  2. The ultimate victory is US being used for the Lord His handy work. Lord use everyone who bears your name. This is an encouragement and a wake up call all in one.

FATHER'S DAY GIFT IDEAS FOR CHURCHES

7 FATHER'S DAY GIFT IDEAS FOR CHURCHES Out of desperation creativity is birthed. I hope to add on to this post through the years. Churches love to give to dad's on Father's Day; sometimes this can be redundant and or expensive. A few short years ago we stepped out of the Evangelistic & Pioneer work to take a small church that is just great and out of the box. So, of course budget is minimal and I am 'it' when it comes to holiday decor and gifting ideas & doing them. The 4 gifts that my family and I put together are as follows:                       POPCORN/CANDY/MOVIE  We placed microwave popcorn, candy bar and a special Father's Day poem inside a popcorn bag.  FRAMED ART FROM LOCAL ARTIST/MINISTER  (Rev. Paul Gray)  MADE THIS INTO A FRAME & ADDED A PEN.                                             MINI GIFTS WRAPPED IN A HANKIE Pocket knife, Voice of the Martyrs Pendant  & candy! Al

LET US TRUST THE PROCESS OF PRUNING

Did you ever read this verse in John 15:2 and think, "that's extreme, can't we just hold onto these extra branches that grew once and bore amazing, fruit?" I have definitely !   Then life happens! In that life, we make a decision to dig deeper in our relationship with Jesus Christ. Yet, as we do, we face obstacles (or that's what we called them) that challenged us to trust Jesus to do what He wills in our lives.  I believe this place is a milestone in the timeline of our lives. Will we continue to walk ever so close to the Lord, realizing as we do, He will prune us? Will we desire to be producers of His fruit and life flow through us? Many of us realize that this means more obstacles, cuts, bleeding, times of dormancy and simple hurt.  This is when the milestone comes; will we accept this pruning and be fruitful or just become branches that become brittle, and ragged?  A lot of questions to ponder, but I feel God wants to use each and everyone of His children in o

Thank You For Asking

(c)Daneille Gray Snowden 2022 Today, I was deeply touched in my heart when a dear friend asked how my husband was. I did not mention it first, out of the blue; she asked about something dear to my heart. This wasn't the first time as she has  asked about different matters in my life several times. May I tell you how that made me feel? It made me feel cared for, loved and set back how someone cares intensely about me and my life. How often do you personally experience such care and interest from others? And, as I ask myself this too; how often do we reach out and ask others how they are? When people as a whole reach out in such a way, we see the creation power of God as hearts are connected to one another and a strong foundation is beginning to be built for a lasting relationship.  I love it when I hear conversations in church  or in my home when I  listen to their questions of wanting to learn of others situations, experiences, needs and even joys. The questioner is totally focused
