RETURNING TO GIVE GOD GLORY

Luke 17 :17 “Were there not ten cleansed? But the nine—where are they? 18 Was no one found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?”

Recently, as I meditated on the Lord and was just praising Him, He brought my mind back to this portion of scripture. A simple story of Jesus healing the 10 lepers and only 1 man came back to thank Him and give Him the glory.

Makes your heart sad doesn't it, to see how people can receive such a blessed touch of God; relieving them of horrific pain, and even death and be ungrateful. It's that 'heart' who God is richly blessed that see's WHO and WHERE their blessings come from!

"Leprosy is a terrible condition where a person’s skin begins to rot and fall off. Many lepers lose all of their fingers and toes because of the disease. It is very painful and smelly. You could tell if a person had leprosy because their body would be covered with sores. People with these sores are commonly referred to as lepers." [From: bible.org] This still exist in many countries in the world.

Sin still exist too today; the result of sin is separation from God. Sin leads to depravation and destruction. Jesus shed His Blood to save all man, woman and child from sin and death. PtL for an open door to HOPE and LIFE! Yet, many just simply don't care. God breathed life into each of us, where is the thanks and appreciation He deserves?  Human nature see's only within the realm of 'SELF' and selfish needs and desires. To stop and see LOVE that was defined by self sacrifice is frightening! To give homage to this may mean I have to stop thinking about 'ME'.

May I say; LIFE BEGINS WHEN WE ACKNOWLEDGE JESUS and then PRAISE HIM FOR ALL HE IS AND DOES!

Another observation the Lord revealed to me was so many don't want  TO SEE AND ACKNOWLEDGE HIS MIRACULOUS TOUCH!  For example; when someone almost runs into you with their car as your driving. Instead of seeing God's protecting Hand, the response usually is; it's good driving. When we find a job, instead of giving God the praise we chop it up with all our hard work looking for one.

We start feeling better, we just say; "Well, all in due time we have recovered." We lean more to flesh for what is truly a gift from God.

Look at this story and understand it was the Samaritan that came running back to Jesus. Jews had nothing to do with Samaritans; so much they wouldn't even touch one another. The other nine that were healed were Jews. For Jews to be declared 'unclean' in leprosy, as well as 'clean' it all had to be done by the Priests which was a long, long ceremonial process. This was not so for the Samaritan. He didn't have to be 'unlearned' from the ceremonial/religious ways. He just fell down and worshipped Jesus!

I like what one of my favorite preachers (David Wilkerson) shared; "Of the many multitudes He has cleansed and made whole, only a remnant are drawn back to Him! So where are all the others? I'll tell you where - they are in the same place the nine healed lepers ended up: lost in the church! 90 percent of those who are touched by Jesus end up going back to some dead, dry church. They never get into Jesus - because they get lost in religion! "

'The other nine  went back to the priest, to church, society, respect and the good life.'  Do we see this today? God blesses in various ways; by answered prayers no matter how big or small, then what?

The question is; 'Who do we want to be?'  Self-centered, religious, or like that crazy...passionate happy Samaritan; and FALL DOWN AT JESUS FEET?  So many are embarrassed to raise their hands in worship at church, shout an 'amen' or praise the Lord. People turn red when they are hangin out with me and I am in a public place smiling, laughing and sharing God's Love with even strangers.

God has done so much for me; Jesus died for me...He still puts up with my messed up life and LOVES ME. I have seen, and received many blessings AND miracles; YES, I am going to praise Him in the most passionate way, as He receives the Glory.

So, you can pay your bills because ya work hard every week. Praise Him...tell all how much He has blessed you in this way.
You are able to be athletic and exercise cause you work out daily. Thank Him for the breath in your lungs and the body to move.
You have a wonderful marriage that wasn't always that way; PRAISE HIM! Tell others because of Jesus our marriage is amazing.

MY CHALLENGE THIS THANKSGIVING SEASON ...WHICH IS ALL THE TIME:
RETURN TO GIVE GOD GLORY!

Psalms 107:1
"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, and his loyal love endures! 2 Let those delivered by the Lord speak out, those whom he delivered from the power of the enemy,"

FATHER'S DAY GIFT IDEAS FOR CHURCHES

7 FATHER'S DAY GIFT IDEAS FOR CHURCHES Out of desperation creativity is birthed. I hope to add on to this post through the years. Churches love to give to dad's on Father's Day; sometimes this can be redundant and or expensive. A few short years ago we stepped out of the Evangelistic & Pioneer work to take a small church that is just great and out of the box. So, of course budget is minimal and I am 'it' when it comes to holiday decor and gifting ideas & doing them. The 4 gifts that my family and I put together are as follows:                       POPCORN/CANDY/MOVIE  We placed microwave popcorn, candy bar and a special Father's Day poem inside a popcorn bag.  FRAMED ART FROM LOCAL ARTIST/MINISTER  (Rev. Paul Gray)  MADE THIS INTO A FRAME & ADDED A PEN.                                             MINI GIFTS WRAPPED IN A HANKIE Pocket knife, Voice of the Martyrs Pendant  & candy! Al

LET US TRUST THE PROCESS OF PRUNING

Did you ever read this verse in John 15:2 and think, "that's extreme, can't we just hold onto these extra branches that grew once and bore amazing, fruit?" I have definitely !   Then life happens! In that life, we make a decision to dig deeper in our relationship with Jesus Christ. Yet, as we do, we face obstacles (or that's what we called them) that challenged us to trust Jesus to do what He wills in our lives.  I believe this place is a milestone in the timeline of our lives. Will we continue to walk ever so close to the Lord, realizing as we do, He will prune us? Will we desire to be producers of His fruit and life flow through us? Many of us realize that this means more obstacles, cuts, bleeding, times of dormancy and simple hurt.  This is when the milestone comes; will we accept this pruning and be fruitful or just become branches that become brittle, and ragged?  A lot of questions to ponder, but I feel God wants to use each and everyone of His children in o

Thank You For Asking

(c)Daneille Gray Snowden 2022 Today, I was deeply touched in my heart when a dear friend asked how my husband was. I did not mention it first, out of the blue; she asked about something dear to my heart. This wasn't the first time as she has  asked about different matters in my life several times. May I tell you how that made me feel? It made me feel cared for, loved and set back how someone cares intensely about me and my life. How often do you personally experience such care and interest from others? And, as I ask myself this too; how often do we reach out and ask others how they are? When people as a whole reach out in such a way, we see the creation power of God as hearts are connected to one another and a strong foundation is beginning to be built for a lasting relationship.  I love it when I hear conversations in church  or in my home when I  listen to their questions of wanting to learn of others situations, experiences, needs and even joys. The questioner is totally focused
