When I was 7 years old I was born again! Five years later, the Lord filled me with His Holy Spirit and called me out to serve in full time service in the ministry. My heart is missions and a longing to love people into God's Kingdom.
I love to teach God's Word, pray with people and write.
Soon, we are hoping our Jesus opens amazing doors to walk into mission endeavors.

   My daughter and I are studying  Beautiful Girlhood together. A lovely book filled with helps and truths to teach our developing young ladies. Mabel Hale the author shared her wise yet heart filled teachings during the turn of the century. Still, today as we read each chapter: wisdom is digested deep with our minds and hearts. Shelley Noonan has written a study guide, of which helps both my daughter and I to share our hearts even more. The lessons learned here will be passed from generation to generation.
   The chapter we read today was Home Life. I decided for Tabitha's grammar (she is just 11 years old) that she can write a small paper on what is a home. Here is what she shared; short but oh so precious.

  My home is more than a house. A house is where your stuff is, a home is wherever coziness comes alive. A home is anywhere your self comes out and feels at rest. A house is where parties and celebrations of life come alive. I like welcoming people in and making them feel at home. A house is a building a home is where you live, love is shared, prayer is offered and Bibles are all around. In addition, a home does not mean a house, it means wherever family is; a home is there. We are family; we stick together no matter what. Homelessness sometimes means people without shelter or sometimes means people that do not share a home. A home should not have to be big it could be small. It does not have to be perfect just homey. My home: friends say, it is cozy and nice (I like that). A home is where I feel at home not a house. Homes are nice to be in where you never want to leave. THAT IS MY HOME.

On a cute note, she hand wrote this and it was over a page long. She was so disappointed  after she typed it that it was as short as it was.

I love the scripture song; 'Be Still And Know That I Am God.' Something happens when we are around people for a length of time. We begin to understand their sense of humor, their favorite foods & music, as well their knowledge of different topics. Imagine; then as we spend more and more time in the presence of our Heavenly Father; and we are not only still but we come to KNOW HIM -- there will be a end result. Not only will we find that ‘PERFECT PEACE’ (because our minds are stayed upon Him); we will become more like Him. As Moses was when he dwelled in God’s Presence; His image was changed from glory to glory. The term ‘mind' in Isaiah 26:3 means; "to form, create, devise; that which is formed or made."
Technically meaning: that what is formed by the mind. And I love the other part; “…is stayed upon Thee…” Simply defined as supported by God. The term 'stayed'  in building, is a support that's
 job is to ‘hold-up.’ The grand revelation is when we come to KNOW our Abba Father; His thoughts are created within our own mind and we become supported on Him!

Let's take time to wait upon the Lord;
Causing our soul's to be still in His Presence.
Inviting great Peace and Richness into
our lives.

   If you are like me, you melt at true love stories. I know I do; and my
favorite on the romantic side is my own love story; meeting and falling in love with the man of my dreams. We met after after he came back from serving his country in Europe and I after I graduated college. We both heard about an inner city ministry to children and that is where our hearts collided. Before that, I had come to the conclusion I would never marry but serve my Lord totally devoting 100% of myself to God's Work. Then, I met Brad. Now, I serve Him with 200% of my life.

Friday is a day here in America when we like to celebrate 'Love'; mostly to the individual we are married to or shall I say 'romantically involved with'. Quite frankly though, I honestly believe this world has no idea where LOVE came from. As a Creationist, I do believe man was created in the image of God; that IN THE BEGINNING GOD CREATED...  Thus, I also believe God sent His Love to man for;
   Love exists because God is the creator of all things. Read verse seven: We can love one another because; LOVE IS FROM GOD.

1 John 4:7-10

7 "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins."

   If you presently are finding it difficult to LOVE your spouse, I suggest that,  maybe it's because the Love you are digging for is not love; but just an emotion. You see God's Love; comes from Him...He gave us that Love through His Son Jesus when He " LOVED the world, that He gave His only begotten Son."
   So many want to separate this from our romantic LOVE between our spouses, or if you are engaged...etc. But, if you long for a solid foundation; a love between you both, being filled with a confidence that your marriage will last through the all the trials of life...this is the LOVE that conquers all!
   The latter part of verse 7 says: All that LOVETH (let me say this is regarding to the LOVE that comes from God) is born of God. If you ever talk with people before they surrendered their lives to Christ; they will testify that when they look back,  before Christ; their lives were empty. But, when Jesus filled their hearts with His Life and Love, their lives were so full that their hearts in turn became a waterfall spilling out God's goodness, love and hope to all. I personally have seen marriages getting ready to completely fall apart, then miraculously; a spouse will surrender their lives to Jesus. Then they in turn selflessly love their spouse, who usually will come to Christ as well!
   But, we must always remember, as a couple and a family; that we must continually strive to KNOW GOD more. We see this in the last part of verse seven; to not only be born of God and yet, as well: know Him! What is cool, is that the term KNOW is an intimate word. It means to come into. Daily my friends, we must come into God's Presence, delve into His that we come to know Him more and more. Where His thoughts become ours, His Ways are our ways. In that how can our life go down the wrong paths? With God's Love, our marriages will be solid and give out a pleasant aroma of God's sweet spirit in our lives.

   The question is, "Is this what we want?" So many feel they can separate their Christianity from their relationships. In the mentality of many in this world, we see that we save this for Sundays. But, God created LIFE; He created us to live a life full of Him. And for those of us who care about the souls of others; we want this. We want more of Him; so we can touch many with His love and see lives transformed from death to life.
   Please take this short devotional to heart. If your marriage is strained; consider how much of your LOVE for your spouse is OF GOD. Turn to Jesus; ask Him to be the Lord of your life and for Him to flow out to others.
   Happy 'TRUE LOVE OF GOD DAY'  to you!
