When I was 7 years old I was born again! Five years later, the Lord filled me with His Holy Spirit and called me out to serve in full time service in the ministry. My heart is missions and a longing to love people into God's Kingdom.
I love to teach God's Word, pray with people and write.
Soon, we are hoping our Jesus opens amazing doors to walk into mission endeavors.

PRAYING THROUGH - 2014 to 2015

PRAYING THROUGH -  2014 to 2015
by Daneille Gray Snowden
I just recently asked my friends what their traditions were for New Years Eve. and Day. I just Love hearing what families do on this day.
Of course, it caused me to ponder back regarding New Years as a child and a pastor's wife.
I recall year after year as a Pastor's kid attending church, there would be singing and then challenging preaching. As the clock ticked away, midnight was quickly prancing upon us. Several minutes till; all the individual families would gather hands and PRAY-IN the New Year.
My entire life I have done this with my parents, later my husband and now my children. Thanking God, we have never missed a year. Even when Y-2K came...(ya know, when the world was going to end).
I saw this with such deep conviction and heart. Praying, hand in hand with my loved one's symbolized what my life's vision: 'IS'!
1st - Serving God, Seeking Him First and Foremost in all I do and say.
2nd - Being With My Family...the most important people on this earth to me and birthing that into their hearts as well.
3rd - Enthrusting into my children: That when we seek the Lord first - even at the VERY BEGINNING of each year... HE WILL:
PRAYING THROUGH!!!  THROUGH: past; beyond /during the whole period of; throughout/ having reached the end of / all the way /  completed / moving to a destination /
When we pray, it's a conversation with the ALMIGHTY, our Savior the all powerful source of life.
I was raised, when you talk with someone, you give them your UNDIVIDED ATTENTION. I in turn, have taught my own children that eye contact is respectful and essential when you are engaged in a conversation with someone. Also, that we are to LISTEN until the conversation has ended.
Yet, when many pray to's a list of wants and maybe a quick 'thank-you' for this or that. Look at the definitions of THROUGH.
Prayer (talking with God), goes BEYOND ourselves, and what we could ever imagine. For when we truly HEAR His Heart for each of us...the vision (which is seeing ahead) directs us into many wonders that lay beyond our own imaginations.
COMPLETED - Another term for 'through'; is such an accomplishing feeling to have. For example; when you complete school and graduate, or get all the Christmas presents wrapped and such. Completing a task is an awesome feeling. It's 'getting-er-done'! When we PRAY THROUGH ...we know we have what has been desired or needed, for we have assurance from the Holy Spirit...saying: '"It's done!"  Praying; 'ALL THE WAY'; was the message the Lord Jesus was trying to display at the Garden when He asked His disciples to watch and pray with Him.
My dear one, if I could say anything to one's who claim Jesus as their Lord and Savior is to PRAY THROUGH! This is to the One Who loves us more than anyone else (even ourselves), the One Who knew us before...Who planned for our lives. Why do we not pray through?
If you have one goal this year...make PRAYING THROUGH this year...praying through daily and leading others to do so as well be your ultimate goal.
One little story, my 84 year old father told from his early years of  ministry (1950's): A typical questions brothers and sisters (in Christ)
would ask one another was in their initial greeting; "HAVE YOU PRAYED THROUGH TODAY?"  Do we dare do this today?
Pray through my friend...complete and go all the way with God!
Ephesians 6:18 "Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,"
Deuteronomy 4:29 "But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul."
2 Chronicles 7:14
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

God's Word Not Violated

God's Word Not Violated
Or Not Transgressed
by Daneille Gray Snowden

Transgress: to violate a law, command, moral code, violate, etc.;

Psalm 89:34 "My covenant I will not violate, Nor will I alter the utterance of My lips."

We hear and see God's Word and even His Name being violated on a second by second basis in this world. Especially in our media; i.e. t.v. shows, news, music and social networks.

The other night, I was in a separate room from my family as I heard a t.v. show that we frequently watch in the back ground. We had even seen this certain episode before; yet listening and not watching it caused my stomach to curdle and my spirit to grieve. It was going on and on about not just homosexuality, but certain acts of it almost in detail. [It was turned off too!]

Growing up not just in a godly home, but as well in a pastor's home my heart and mind has been filled with God's Word. Knowing what was right and wrong quickly became instinctual. Many of my fellow generation attended church, although the '70's did burst forth with the revival of humanism and a just 'gotta have it my way' revolution.

Yet, many knew the rights and wrongs that our Loving Heavenly Father laid out for us all in His Word. Still, as time has ticked on; the boldness and fortitude of Christians has dwindled down to a trickle of saints who still hold to the truth of God's powerful instructions for His human creation.

In that, God's Word rubs against what 'feels-good' to the flesh sometimes, thus 'man-kind' has done two things: 1.) A small minority has oozed out their agenda for how life should be lived and ran. 2.) The majority of folks (who are Christians) loosing the boldness and tenacity to live out as well as speak out (again-with love) the truth of how God has instructed us to live.

What is sad is how  many sweet Christians have adopted the deadly philosophies of
satan's agenda thus, being blinded to it. I have one's tell me that support abortion; that it is not fare if someone gets raped and has to have her rapist's child. I have many in the church either living with their lovers (co-habitation) and or say that times have changed and it's ok. One time in one of our churches we had; 1/8 of the church attending  actually were living this way.

Quote from Barna:   "... in spite of our "Christian" self-descriptions, more than one-third of America's adults are essentially secular in belief and practice."

Remembering the 10 Commandments, Beatitudes (Matt. 5), Book of Leviticus, as well as the Epistles; God has made it clear and simple on how our thought life, words, and  hearts should be. He has set out the reciprocation of what happens if we steal, lie, cheat, commit adultery and or fornication, etc. Yet, the battle for these to be adhered to especially now in the United States has been vehemently on-going. As I wrote in my last blog post I quickly mentioned the top two fought and argued political (and ethical) policy brought forth in our political arena is homosexual marriages and abortion. We must also add on to this: euthanasia (right-to-die) and a new one: Post Birth Abortion (after a child is born).

I truly believe now .... TODAY is the time for those who serve God with all their hearts to pray for Holy Boldness, coupled with the pure and powerful Love of Christ to stand apart from these false teachings and speak out the truth! It's time for all of us to sincerely pray through, interceding for our country and loved one's who have been swept up to ungodly thought and life styles. As we do, God's Spirit will indeed fill us with a great boldness and sweet anointing to minister in this capacity.

It's time we pray for a revival of repentance and turning back to what God intended for His People. Jesus is coming ever so soon, meanwhile time is running out. Laws will be changing that will try to quench God's laws, His teaching and plan for mankind. Those who are Christians will be facing persecution, as well as being made to comply to the opposite of what we believe in. More and more lobbyist are pushing for laws that will come against pastors preaching all of the Bible, plus fighting when and where we can pray, how we can discipline our children as well as what we are allowed to teach our children. It's out there now, and we all are so busy! Just busy living life, and the enemy is sneaking up behind and over-power our once upon a time Christ centered and founded country.

I just want to challenge my brothers and sisters in Christ to truly seek God, dig in His Word and start having family devotions sharing with your kids the pertinence of a godly life. In addition, get really involved with your churches; help with out-reach ministries, invite friends, relatives, co-workers and neighbors to church. Really do this...and don't stop!

One day, we all will stand before the Great Throne of God; we will be standing accountable for our lives and even for the souls that were placed in our lives. May our God say to us: "Well done thou good and faithful servant, thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord." [Matt. 25:23] Too many are truly afraid of what their friends and peers will think, that fear is deadly! We must be so full of God's Love and boldness that we are not hindered to be what He truly CREATED us all to be!

Go forth, go preach the amazing GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST! Not just pastors but all who call themselves children of God! The reward is truly worth it!

Also, be ready for persecution and the difficult days that are ahead for all those who serve Him. But, know it's so worth being in the fire --- for Jesus will be right at our sides (and they will see Jesus)! [I.E. story of 3 Hebrew Children in the fiery furnace - Dan. 3.]  Don't bend - but stay strong to all God has taught us on how we are His children are to live!

Dan. 3:18 "But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image which you have set up!"

by Daneille Gray Snowden Nov. 4, 2014
As I shared a particular passage of scripture today with my facebook friends, this revelated into my soul! Two words that have been lost in the shuffle of our culture (compromise & righteous), and it seems as we stop to evaluate those around we see the battle of uncompromising God's standard of righteousness is waning. Today, this world needs: stubborn (YET LOVING) Christians, raising the standards high and not backing down, although they feel more and more alone in the fight. Unfortunately, it does at times feel as if it is a fight. The Word of God says "...we war not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." [Ep. 6:12]

Uncompromising making no concessions; inaccessible to flexible bargaining; unyielding, undeviating
Righteous: morally right or justifiable,  good, honest, fair, right

Today, here in America we vote for our political leaders. Being a democracy, thankfully we still have this freedom and privilege to do so. Obviously, uncompromising Christian/Biblical standards is a MUST as we vote for those who stand with God's written decree on how men and woman should live. Without delving deep; as we stand for the top two decrees of Biblical Marriage and Life in the Mother's Womb (i.e. not abortion). These two have been on the forefront  of political dispute for well over two decades. Watching our states crumble under the self-centered (self destructive) desire of yes, the ungodly to gay marriage is disheartening. What is very sad is those who attend church, as well as large denominations that were founded on holiness and belief in the total truth of God's Word have 'bowed-down' to these false gods. Churches being 'seeker-friendly' have watered the Truth of God's Word so it can fit into the life styles of all men and woman. When in fact the opposite is what God intended.

What is truly sad is the fact that men and woman think it's for their best to live the way they want to. But, "There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death." [Prov. 14:12]

THEME VERSE: Ps. 5 v.4 " For You are not a God Who takes pleasure in wickedness; neither will the evil [man] so much as dwell [temporarily] with You.
6 You will destroy those who speak lies; the Lord abhors [and rejects] the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.
9 For there is nothing trustworthy or steadfast or truthful in their talk; their heart is destruction [or a destructive chasm, a yawning gulf]; their throat is an open sepulcher; they flatter and make smooth with their tongue.

11 But let all those who take refuge and put their trust in You rejoice; let them ever sing and shout for joy, because You make a covering over them and defend them; let those also who love Your name be joyful in You and be in high spirits.
12 For You, Lord, will bless the [uncompromisingly] righteous [him who is upright and in right standing with You]; as with a shield You will surround him with goodwill (pleasure and favor)."
If you know Jesus Christ as your Lord (Ruler of your heart), then please delve into God's Word; study it through and through. God's Word will become a part of your own personality. What you dwell on, what comes out of your mouth and even what you do. It will be automatic how your standards will be HIS (God's) standards. With that, know that GOD WILL BE ON YOUR SIDE!
Don't be afraid of the ARMY THAT STANDS BEFORE YOU! ["Don't be afraid. Stand firm and see the LORD's salvation He will provide for you today; ..." Ex. 14:13] If INDEED more of God's Children stood strong, unwavering: maybe we could be used to usher in His Salvation for our country. It starts with prayer, praying for a revival. A cleansing from within our own churches, families, schools, and yes our governments. God help us!

In social media, I know I have observed the lifestyles of Christians that are no different than that of this world. Clinging to things that cause sin to be raised plus observed and not righteousness (morally right, and just). This is leading to a darker world for our children and all the generations to come. Yet, there is hope for all when we : "... which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." [2 Chron. 7:14]
Allow me to challenge you today; be - UNCOMPROMISINGLY RIGHTEOUS and in turn the Lord WILL BLESS & SHIELD you with pleasure and favor!

Snowden Family's Fave' Recipes - Green Chili Enchilada Soup

Snowden Family's Favorite Recipes
 Green Chili Enchilada Soup

I simply avoid sharing recipes, just because I truly know there are many out there that are far superior than mine.
Yet, our family has become true 'FOODIES' thus we are quite particular on what we eat, and how we prepare it. Guess it's the day we live in. When I was a little girl; I had no idea what ethnic restaurants were. Taco's were what mom made on Friday nights as she mixed instant seasoning in her ground beef and she fried the corn tortilla's in her skillet. It wasn't until college that my pallet would dive into a sea of unforgettable flavors; thus, me turning from a bland cooking scheme to a bask array of culinary delight!
Our family; like so many American families have their 'Go-To' favorites that are a must at least on a monthly basis. It's those meals you fix when your son or daughter comes home to visit.
I will introduce to you one of a many of our Snowden Family Favorites: Green Chili Enchilada Soup!
I use to not be a soup lover, but this soup whisk me away to a caldron of deliciousness in the soup world. We have only been eating this for around two years and wish oh so much I had started earlier. I have made green chili chicken enchiladas for over 20 years.
Stir soup well, let simmer for
time slated. The flavors
emulsify all through.

For 2 Gallons of soup
Chicken (is our preference): I use good chicken breast, 8 lg. pieces.
Cumin : 1 tb
Red Chili Powder: 3 to 4 tb
Cilantro: A LOT! 5 Tb. ++
Onion Powder: 3 tb.
Basil: 2 tb.
Thyme: 1 tb.
Minced Garlic: 4 cloves
Fine Chopped Onion: 1 med.
Chicken Base: 3 to 4 tb.
Bl. Pepper: 2 tb
Salsa: Our home made salsa (yum)! Consisting of your basic roma tomatoes, onion, garlic, jalapeno's, vinegar, lemon juice...etc. If you don't have your own, then cheat and add a quality salsa (or ask a neighbor, friend or relative for a jar). I put about 2 pints in this soup.
Black Beans: 1 can (rinse well)
Corn: We use white corn fresh from the garden. 2 cups
Green Chili (Verde) Enchilada Sauce: 2 cans or make home made by cooking gr. chili's with your typical seasoning (cumin, chili, pepper, salt, some garlic..etc.).  2 cans or 2 1/2 cups.
Slow cook (on med./low) chicken for 2 to 3 hours. Until you are able to shred it.
Add seasoning + chicken base, onion & garlic, salsa; cook for 20 min. [Smells all through your house, you want to put Latin music on and dance.]
Add beans + corn cook for another 30 min.
To thicken if needed, mix 1 tb. of corn starch to 1/2 c. of water, then add to soup.
Now the tastiest part for us: fry up corn tortillas, cut up some avocados...pull out some sour cream.
The amount depends on the # you are serving. Freshness is the key for the tortillas. Think 1 per person or per bowl.
Ladle the soup in the bowl, place a couple slices of avocados, sprinkle in the tortillas and a dollop of sour cream.
Shred some mozzarella cheese to add a brilliant flavor!
Turn the Latin Music down low, with family gathered around...Bow your heads and thank Your Lord Jesus for providing such a wonderful meal, and a beautiful family.
Then; A él le gusta comer y bailar.

Look at this word; ENCOURAGE with me....

EN: means 'to put into'  // COURAGE: mental or moral strength.

The entire word, ENCOURAGE: to make (someone) more determined, hopeful, or confident, to give help AND I LIKE THIS:  to inspire with courage, spirit, or hope.

To encourage is to inspire with HOPE. Encourage requires an ENCOURAGER...right? We all need encouragement almost daily. Yet, we also need to encourage...daily. It gives life, by spreading HOPE. Sometimes, those who we could never imagine needing help are the very one's who need it.

You may ask; how can I give HOPE when I myself don't have it? I'll tell ya, (from experience) -- BY GOING TO THE ONE WHO INSPIRES, WHO GIVES LIFE AND HOPE CONTINUOUSLY- JESUS! King David in I Sam. 30:6 was quite discouraged, he was the one always encouraging others --now he was facing a true hopeless situation. Yet: "... but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God."

My friend, go to the Lord...every day; He is your True Source of inspiration and courage. After you receive it, start your day then being an ENCOURAGER by ENCOURAGING others. Do this by placing strength into others today (by spreading the Hope of Jesus).

1 Thessalonians 5:11 "Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing."
Hebrews 3:13 "But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called "Today," so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin."

TO MY FRIENDS ALL OVER THE WORLD sharing a simple note to you.

Greetings Readers!

I am doing something this time I don't think that I have done before; that is just write what's on my mind. As late as it is right now, that might not be too much. :)

I have been working on my different Blogs when I  noticed I get 'hits' from all over the world. I envy my blog being avowed the opportunity to visit Cyprus, Spain, France, Germany, even Russia among many many more amazing countries. I can feel the warm Mediterranean Breeze blowing on my blog with a tint of saltiness...ahhh it smells heavenly.

From when I was old enough to THINK I always dreamed of travelling. I even thought that one day I would live in foreign countries as a missionary. My degree is in Missions, studying foreign cultures was a 'lift' to my spirits. I would even now, with my family love to travel and visit my friends from all over. It was just be a thrill getting to know you and your families by teaching me your ways of living; as I would eat new foods and try out fresh adventures.
I also would just love to share God's Love to you and the area you live. By simply ushering out His amazing Words of Hope as well as pray for healings in precious people's bodies.

Meanwhile, I live in a sweet little...LITTLE community. I am a stranger here, even though we have took residence five years ago. Stepping out of the evangelistic field and planting a home church; we accepted a pastorate position of a small church who welcomed us with open hearts. The little town is busy, and yes it is an area where as an outsider it feels as if everyone is related. Many have grown up together, gone to church together and even went to school at the same time. There is always a tie in with one another. Our 'tie-in' is that we pastor here. We reach out by being involved with a few events on occasion or help at the local food pantry.

So, we pour ourselves into the people we pastor. Thanking God for them and any opportunities He gives to use us. Yet, we know there is a BIG CALL out there for us to answer. To minister to the GENERATIONS here and all across this great big world. I envision the grandma who is praying hard for her family, the parents holding their heads in frustration on how to care for their children. The hungry, lonely and many in pain who need to hear if there is any HOPE in this day we all live in. [Both here and abroad.]

This takes me back to the beginning of my letter to you, my readers across the globe...1) Know I am praying for you.  2) I and my family care very much, so much we are asking God to make a way to come and minister literally as well as figuratively to you (via the blog).  We are in the midst of starting our ministry: HOPE FOR THE GENERATIONS. God has stirred this in our spirits for over 10 years now. We are burdened for every generation, especially the future generations. The Bible is FULL of promises as we pray; by proclaiming God's Word plus living out what He has called us to do, in that He will save the generations.

Will you pray for us too? Really, really pray...we need wisdom, direction, open doors, doors of favor, of course always $$$, literal doors that would host us and help us minister to your own community, fast and pray for revival among the generations. If you are in a position and feel compelled by the Holy Spirit to help...just leave a comment and we will communicate personally after that.

Meanwhile, here goes my blog off to the Ukraine, Turkey, India and even Hawaii. I wish I could make it come back with you, so I may meet and know my readers.

Blessings and thanks for allowing me to just simply write you.

 {When one is speaking it to you and or about you and if it is you.}

Maybe plug your ears and go blah, blah, saying; "I can't hear you." Um, no --- just gently say; "I am sorry, let's just change the subject please; this individual isn't here and I am not comfortable talking about him or her."

If it continues, firmness is a must --- but I am of the belief we can still be gentle. Tell the person chattering; "Since so-n-so is not here, I think we need to let them in on this conversation or stop talking about them all together."

Sometimes, the painfulness of gossip is being the one talked about, as well as the other person listening allowing the strife to be poured into their soul.

Gossip has been legitimize under the disguise of a prayer request, or someone saying they are concerned about an other or sharing they have been hurt by this person and then proceeds to gossip.  It amazes me how this is still a major issue in the world we live (and in the Body of Christ). Everyone who reads this has been a victim of this UGLY & POISONOUS colloquy. The pain digs deep, especially when it's someone you once trusted and that person continues to spread this 'yuk'.

Yet there is always hope, be of good cheer! By  first asking God to start with numero uno; determining  to not to ever be a vessel of gossip, even if  it's you or I being talked about. Refraining from gossip as a retort takes great strength that only God can give.

Then, with God's grace, talk with that person of whom has talked about you. Ask the Lord for favor, and for that person to be open and listen. Communication is vital, for healing.

I always ask the Lord to shut the mouths of the lions and to protect us from the twisted lies, then our hearts, reputation and testimony. The enemy of our souls wants to defame all of this. Thus, recognize where the GOSSIP comes from; when we do we can pray against it with great authority.

WHY AM I TYPING ABOUT THIS? I have seen this my entire life and how it has hurt many people. I have observed several leave the church because of it, Pastors leave the ministry, also watch people put in prison (literally & figuratively) because of this. This is one way we can help free those that are bound: by NOT BEING COMPELLED TO GOSSIP NO MATTER WHAT.  As one who loves our Lord and people, I long to see others walk in the freedom God has for all the world to encompass. Gossip, and being gossiped about leads to a dark imprisoned life of misery and bondage.

So, the question; "How to respond to gossip?" Ask Jesus first to comfort your heart if you are the victim /then forgive he or she that has hurt you. Next ask for forgiveness, if you are the defendant.  Then, go to the person who hurt you and just simply ask, "Why?"  Also, just fill your heart and mind with God's Word on His forgiveness toward us. "Father forgive them...." [Lu. 23:34]

Lastly, ask the Lord to make our heart speak pure love, gently laced with true compassion and with unselfish gain.
"For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. The good man out of his good treasure bringeth forth good things: and the evil man out of his evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. And I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned" (Matt. 12:33-37; cf. Luke 6:43-45).
Titus 3:2 To speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people.

James 1:26 If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless.

 Terry Enns

“Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.” (Eph 4:29)

A Letter To My Persecuted Brothers & Sisters in the Lord

A Letter To My Persecuted Brothers & Sisters in the Lord

Dearest Brothers & Sisters;
I need to tell you, that my heart is breaking when I see and hear of the pain, sorrows and deprivation you are facing. Hearing your stories and seeing your faces has stilled my soul. The things I have been facing in life (which are difficult) seem so very insignificant when I see your pain.

In my greeting, I called you brother and sister; for truly you are. We are united by the Blood of our Saving Lord and King. As the writer of Hebrews shares with a great heart;
"Remember those who are in prison as if you were their fellow prisoner, and those who are ill-treated, since you also are liable to bodily sufferings." [Heb. 13:3
You are suffering, unjustly for sure. Many around me are very angry, which is completely understandable.

Yet, I hear you say that though it's been hard, "You forgive your persecutors."
YOU FORGIVE THEM! At this, I just shake my head in great wonder. Somewhere in your walk with Jesus, you graduated to that place of understanding God's Mercy and Grace. In that, you have grasped the entire vision of our Lord Jesus when He said;
“If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you... If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you... because they do not know Him who sent Me." [John 15:18-21]

"They do not KNOW WHO SENT ME"...if only the world knew Jesus as we do, He is so patient, loving and kind. He listens to every whimper and touches our bleeding hearts. He whispers in our ears, "Not much longer my sweet child and I will be carrying you home. I am very proud of you...hold on to my promises - I will never leave you, nor forsake you."

Sweet little girl and boy, who has lost your mommy and daddy; I am so sorry. I wish I could hold you and comfort you. But, I am praying that Jesus holds you so very tight..through the arms of another mommy and or daddy. To my sister and brother who's child was ripped from your arms and permanently taken from you; I am broken hearted for you. I pray for God to up-gird you with His All Powerful Arms, and through this sorrow - God reveal to You; that your baby is singing praises to our Lord.

During these past couple weeks, as the suffering of the persecuted church of Jesus Christ has only increased, my intense desire is to be there with you. To offer a hand to hold, a shoulder to cry pray with and love you. Yet, I am here; in a country so far that allows me to worship my Lord without the risk of being physically harmed. So, I shall pray, I will grasp the 'horns of the alter'  [Exodus 27:2] and cry out to Jesus on your behalf.

Some of you have made it here to us in the States and I have heard you say that the persecuted church in N. Korea, Arab Countries, Iran, Iraq, China...etc.  are praying for the United States and European Countries. That you have a burden for us, seeing that the church is loosing her first Love (Jesus). You are witnessing in our government that the Christian witness and convictions are being ruled out, as ungodly/immoral life styles are winning over. You have seen here also, that Pastor's are being ridiculed if they preach not only of Christ's Love but also sin and living a righteous life. Also how Christians in their schools, work place, neighborhoods, social network will be cut-down if they speak out about Biblical truths of sin. [Galatians 5:19-20] I hear that you are fasting and praying for America! Yet, you lay it all down to be TRUE WITNESSES of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. [Definition of a witness is a martyr.]

I want to express that you are my earthly heroes and I am humbled by your LIVING SACRIFICE. Of all the trials I have faced, (which have been labeled pretty difficult in the culture I live) they pale next to the fiery trial you have been thrown into. I thank my God for you, thank you for HOLDING TIGHTLY to the faith...setting your face as a flint and not turning back on Jesus.

I will set out an alarm as loud as I can, to call the church to prayer. Also, knowing your hearts...I will ring another loud alarm to wake up the sleeping church to arise and be what God has intended us to all to be - evangelists; sharing Jesus to all we know and meet. In addition, warning the world that Jesus is coming very soon, and before that, times will continue to become more difficult in every category.

So, my dear brothers and sisters who have lost most every material thing you have; I join with you in my heart praying for this troubled world. My heart is knitted with you, and I ache for you thus I shall always pray for you.

THE CALLING OF THE FATHER: Being the Priest of His Home

Being the Priest of His Home
By Daneille Gray Snowden June 2014

I love watching my husband playing with my children. He seems to be the 'fun' parent. The kids giggle the hardest and run the fastest when daddy is there. Another thing that I just LOVE; is when my husband rises up and teaches God's living word in deed and instruction. My children quickly hush and peer into the eyes of their father as He instructs them from the passages of the Bible.

Sunday being Father's Day, we will be ministering about the role of a father as the Priest of his home. Praying that the vision our God projected in both the Old and New Testament be perceived by all the Father's attending. This is the KEY we believe for healthier families, stronger churches and a godly country. When our men rise up and be all what God created them to be, we do believe this  will usher in a solidification within the church of Jesus Christ; thus a strength we haven't witnessed in many years.

Woman who are married, especially Christian woman long for their husbands to not only protect them and their family; via physically but also spiritually and emotionally. I feel at peace when my own husband rises up and leads our family. The children feel secure, a trait that is required for a healthy spiritual and emotional individual.

Kohen is the Hebrew word for Priest;  in the Arabic we find the root word -  'Orab', meaning ‘to draw near’. Thus, add it all together and we have: "one who may 'draw near' to the Divine Presence."  The KEY to being the PRIEST OF THE HOME is...Being in the Presence of the Almighty. By doing so, changes a persons appearance and demeanor. God's Ways become our ways, God's Words become ours and even, God's Hands reach out through us to others. When we speak to, pray for and even hold our precious children, let it be - the TOUCH OF GOD they feel and HIS VOICE they hear. All from dwelling in His Presence and applying His Words permanently on our hearts.

Fathers, this is a beckon 'CALL - OUT' to you! Wives to and fro are praying to God for their spouse to be the Priest of their homes. We are desperately needing you to fulfill God's Plan for your life and the entire family. We will follow, we will praise our God as you rise up early to seek the Lord, as well as teach our children.
Deuteronomy 6: 6 "And these words which I am commanding you this day shall be [first] in your [own] minds and hearts; [then]
You shall whet and sharpen them so as to make them penetrate, and teach and impress them diligently upon the [minds and] hearts of your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up."
May all the Christian Father's across the land declare:
Joshua 24:15 “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Is It Obvious Where You Have Been?

By Daneille Gray Snowden
Picture this, someone knocks on your door and you open it; your visitor see's you covered with flour-her first remark is; "I see you are cooking!" Not only does she know what your are doing, and also where you were, she then likely knows what you are fixing for dinner.

It has happened to me more times than I can count and it was either a pie, chicken-n-noodles or some type of bread. I am quite talented in basking myself (literally) in what I am doing.
As a Christian, (which is one who is to be Christ-like) we are to be LIGHTS in this Dark world. We are to shine Hope, Help and Love to all who are in our path. The question is; are we? My devotions brought me here today, I was reading Oswald Chambers in his book My Utmost for His Highest (April 22). I have read in the past his life story, thus my respect for his words (in his wife's pen) speak deeply. Today's devotion was called; The Light that Never Fails . Excellent title, but may feel a bit overwhelming. God never intended us to carry the burden of this world; we simply can't and live. Yet, our Lord did call us to be a LIGHT shining the way to Him. "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." [ Matt. 5:16]

How? How do live life before others so that they see, hear and feel Jesus? Especially when we are struggling with hurt, pain and loss. There is a true lady of God in our church we pastor who's amazing husband just passed away. They have been married for several years, raised 4 beautiful children and now he is gone. Yet, when I see her she SHINES, she truly glows with God's glory. How is she doing this, facing such sorrow? I know her, I have heard out to God in her dark hour of grief. I have seen her worship Jesus with all her heart and I know she spends time in the Presence of her God. Thus, His Glory is radiating off of her to others, who's lives have been stirred by her testimony.
   O. Chambers said; "Allow nothing to keep you from looking with strong determination into the face of God...  A Christian servant is one who perpetually looks into the face of God and then goes forth to talk to others. The ministry of Christ is characterized by an abiding glory of which the servant is totally unaware."
In regards to my first question; Is it obvious where you have been? Does the world see God's glory in our appearance, words and demeanor?  "When Moses came down from Mount Sinai... he did not know that the skin of his face shone and sent forth beams by reason of his speaking with the Lord." [Ex. 34:29]
My Pastor-father and now my husband and I stick a little note on our pulpit, it's a quote from God's Word; "...Sir, we would see Jesus?" [Jn. 12:21] It is a policy we have that we will never get behind that pulpit without first basking in the Presence of God, thus our objective is for people to See and Hear Jesus! Yet, we all are behind a pulpit aren't we? Is it our hearts desire for people to see and hear Jesus? May it be our intentions that they be engrossed with the Glory of God that shines so brightly from our lives! "And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." [2 Cor. 3:18]

"For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." [2 Cor. 4:6]
