Prayers To Pray In the New Year

copyright(c)2015 Daneille Gray Snowden 2015                 ENDING OF THE JOURNEY FOR 2015 Prayers To Pray In the New Year    Here we all are, saying goodbye to yet another year and welcoming a fresh new beginning for us all to grasp! Isn't it wonderful as Christians we can have this life of NEWNESS in having yet another chance to do and be more for God?   I know one of my goals for 2015 was to enter my 50's (turned 50 in June) healthier and I did! I am still working on it as the Lord leads. Praise report: I have gone down 3 pant sizes this year and ready to go 3 more too! My husband has lost 60 lbs, my girls are thinner too! That is physical for us. Ministerial; we are THRILLED about being accepted as missionaries to Mozambique with One Missions Society! I shake my head in 'awe' how the Lord has led us this past year.   Since I was born, my family has 'always' prayed in the New Year together. Please be encouraged to 'PR

HOLIDAY CHALLENGE!

HOLIDAY CHALLENGE!       Most of us will be around family this week. Some will be visiting with others they haven't seen & won't see in a long time. Silence your phones and don't text as we visit each other this Christmas! Ok? Ready, set...GO -place your cell phones down! [Including your FB notifications!]    from Daneille  Merry Christmas!

WHAT TO PRAY FOR YOU DAUGHTER

copyright(c)2015 Daneille Gray Snowden 2015  WHAT TO PRAY FOR YOU DAUGHTER by Daneille Gray Snowden Our beautiful daughters are living in an age where femininity, purity, and living out the life as a Christian lady is an uphill battle. The images of woman are sadly displayed as gaudy, sexually active, loud & disdainful, plus more. The best example they could have is their own mothers. In that, as godly mothers not only should we LIVE-OUT our testimony by how we act, dress, and talk; but how we pray!                                                   _________________ -- "When all around us is sinking sand...ON CHRIST the Solid Rock I stand."  -- We may have a teen girl, and it appears as if things have gotten way out of hand; instead of reacting in our 'self' -- we run to the ROCK. We intercede, sometimes we fast as we pray for our children, for ourselves and our entire family; praying through, and praying again. It is in this time the L

WHEN JESUS MARVELED

copyright(c)2015 Daneille Gray Snowden 2015  WHEN JESUS MARVELED                                                            By Daneille Gray Snowden Matt. 8:10 " When Jesus heard it, he marveled,..." WOW! Can you imagine that? Having Jesus looking at you, then at those all around, saying; "...Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel?" His emotional reaction stated in the same verse- HE WAS MARVELED at this man! I want that, I want to be THERE; in the place where my walk of faith, my words and actions that Jesus' [My Lord & King!] would be marveled at! How about you, are ya with me? Let's dig in and take a look at how this man MARVELED God (the Son). ____________________   To be ' marveled ' means  causing wonder, admiration, or astonishment and in the Greek: thaumazó (thou-mad'-zo) it is defined as: admire, and to be amazed.   ________________________ I want to with

HOW DO YOU WALK?

copyright(c)2015 Daneille Gray Snowden 2015  HOW DO YOU WALK? A word by Daneille Gray Snowden Did ya know how WE walk those who see and follow us will walk the same (basically). When my adult son would be walking; from a distance he appeared as if his dad was there (instead it was him): i.e.- posture, swag and pace.  As one who has surrendered their life to Christ; how do you (& I) walk? Those following us, do they see Jesus in the places we frequent? What we eat? Drink (stressed here), language that comes out of our mouths (where the heart speaks); our social, our work...and on?  LIVE out your life:  so close to Jesus that others can also live out their lives fully, holy (yes holy) and prosper. When we look at our children, family & friends & see them living out their lives in completion to God's plan BECAUSE.... WE LIVED THIS LIFE STYLE OUT BEFORE THEM - it's worth it all! ---------------------------------------------- Gala

LOVIN MY MUMS!

copyright(c)2015 Daneille Gray Snowden 2015  LOVIN MY MUMS! I giggle as I write this, for my New Zealand friends call their mothers: Mum and I know other countries do as well. So, yes; I agree, we all should love our moms/mums!   _____________________________________ But, this is a very short little heart felt blog about one of my favorite flowering plants; Fall Mums! They speak FALL with all their luscious colors, don't they! _____________________________________ When my children were wee little, we lived by Amish country, where our home school group scheduled every year to visit a mum farm. Now, these mums were HUGE! I remember my first time, I just stood and stared for about 5 minutes as I felt greatly overwhelmed. But, with my excited emotions taking over my feet, quickly I got a shovel and began digging up my sweet flowers. When I got home, we planted them in my front yard along my walking path; and faithfully they popped up every year. I believe beca

SHARPENED BY HIS WORD!

copyright(c)2015 Daneille Gray Snowden 2015                           SHARPENED BY HIS WORD!      From: Daneille Gray Snowden    I keep a notebook for my morning devotions. I use to do it all the time; then the past few years I just stopped. God has answered one of my many prayers (recently); which is to only grow hungrier for Him. Thus, the notebook; it amazes me how each day is like a special surprise my Father has for me as I climb up in His Lap to hear what all He has to say! I so enjoy getting up in the mornings for this very thing.   With my coffee and breakfast at my side; I pick up a devotionals and Bible; my 2 steady devotional books are: God Calling & My Utmost For His Highest , and maybe once every couple months I will read, Come Away My Beloved . Lately, I have my phone by my side and I use it for word studies (in the Greek & Hebrew), topic studies, and historical background study from a passage of scripture and such. Then comes out my notebook and I w

KEEP GIVING, EVEN WHEN IT APPEARS YOU HAVE NOTHING TO GIVE!

copyright(c)2015 Daneille Gray Snowden 2015                             KEEP GIVING, EVEN WHEN IT APPEARS YOU HAVE NOTHING TO GIVE! Money is most definitely tight these days. And for some the belt is quite snug! [Wink] I read a quaint blog article how to give when you don't have nothing to give. There was some excellent ideas in there and my hat is off to the author. First of all, no matter who you are: a child, parent, single mom, single dad, elderly, jobless or your budget is tied up in shoelaces - YOU STILL HAVE SOMETHING TO GIVE! Deuteronomy 16:17 " Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which He has given you."   Tangible gifts are fun, yes? I like to receive them and give them as I am able. Yet, I will share with you that the gifts I treasure the most, are the one's from the heart; that were either words written on a paper from my husband and children, as well as home made crafty gifts from oth
