When I was 7 years old I was born again! Five years later, the Lord filled me with His Holy Spirit and called me out to serve in full time service in the ministry. My heart is missions and a longing to love people into God's Kingdom.
I love to teach God's Word, pray with people and write.
Soon, we are hoping our Jesus opens amazing doors to walk into mission endeavors.

Lately, several good people have shared with me, a deep heart desire for their lives as they are approaching 2012. The common denominator is a desire to slow down; by getting their priorities in order and just to do less. Yet, what will be done will be accomplished with more substance.
The life Jesus lived on this earth proved that taking life 'one step', 'one day' and even 'one soul' at a time will reap eternal rewards; bringing all the glory to God. Yet, the lives we live today have seemingly taken a turn to: "The busier the more successful we must be." We have adopted this exhausting philosophy into our lifestyles. What is the end result?
“The Chinese word for “busy” is made of two characters.  The first is heart,” and the second is “killing.”  For the Chinese, to be busy is to kill the heart." [Dr. T. Dukes]
Sensing the leading of the Holy Spirit in the lives of God's children, I personally can see God calling His children to come and sit close to Him. Taking each new day and slow down. Being still in the presence of our maker and teaching our children to do so as well. Think how we feel when we take a day off to rest, or go on a restful vacation. We come back looking, thinking and feeling revived, with clearer minds and hearts!

"Be still, and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10)

In the Hebrew, 'Be still' is raphah which means: to relax, withdraw, let drop, alone and weaken. The absence of motion! Mega, OUCH! We have a fixed notion within us that we must be busy, we must go, go, go! But, this is contrary to the Word of God. As children of the most High, it's time to hear our Father calling out to us to BE STILL!
In this passage in Psalms, God is regarding two aspects. One is for the enemies of His children who are waging war against them to be still. Being that He is God...He stills them too! As He accomplishes that....they SEE that He indeed is God.  Who or what is your enemy? Cancer, sickness, disease, bill collectors, gossips and the list piles up doesn't it? God will cause them sooner or later to BE STILL!
The second aspect of this passage is for God's children to 'settle down', relax, CHILL out and be still. Many times in counselling individuals who are just stressed beyond imagination ask me; "How can I be calm, (be still)?" The answer is wonderfully simple= KNOW YOUR GOD. Recall the definition: to 'know'; in God's Word is- coming into Him. As we sit still, meditate on His Word, bask in the true fullness of His Presence...our spirits 'calm' to a place of stillness. It is then that we can be healed, hear His voice and flow in the directive of His plans for our lives.
Matthew 6:25-27 - "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?  Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?  Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"
Let this be the way we pray and live. By first and foremost being still and KNOWING He indeed is our God!
Have a happy New Year! Looking forward in hearing back from you on how God is leading you to start out on this refreshing change in your lives.

Be It Unto Me According To Your Word

"And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her." Luke 1:38

When I ponder on that moment when the angel Gabriel visited this young woman (to me a child)--my heart cannot fathom how her little soul must have felt and how her mind must have swirled.  Here she is, obviously a good kid; hard working and sweet natured that it made a great impression on Joseph's father to pay her dowry. Chapter 1 of Luke reveals to us a bit of her lovely character. She had found favor with God! So much so, she was chosen to be conceived by the Holy Ghost...and be one with perfection-Jesus Christ Himself. She was chosen to carry out God's Promises by laying her life down and allowing God to have His perfect plan unfold within her life-LITERALLY!

Please recall that in this culture; as Mary was 'espoused' (engaged), this meant she was to have absolutely NO sexual intercourse until she and Joseph were actually married. [The Biblical mandate no sexual intimacy until marriage is still God's Word -FOR TODAY as well.] If a woman became pregnant she would be labelled a harlot, her family would be shamed as well as her fiance'. It was quite severe then, if this were to happen. Yet, God chose Mary to carry out her part of this amazing, prophetical plan.

Sometimes, when we do our best to live out our lives serving God. Trying to be a blessing to all of those around us...out of nowhere-we here God leading us. His voice is quite clear, but then we get quite nervous when we hear out what He is calling us to do. It usually isn't easy, most of the time it is 'out-of-the-comfort-zone'! We know we may face some resistance or be ridiculed (even from other Christians).  What do we do?

Mary was nervous at first, well she was afraid: v.34 "Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” This wasn't a response of rebellion,  just a smart kid who knew the difficulties that definitely lay ahead. Yet, as Gabriel continued to tell her how God was going to overshadow her and she would carry the Christ-the Son of God/as well as her elderly cousin who was with child as well; Mary's heart welled up with so much faith.

"Behold the handmaid of the Lord!" She made herself a bond slave to her God. This is one who's will is swallowed up in an others. This type of slave is one that has only the Will of her Master in mind, following her Master even to death. Total surrender!  Revealing her inmost being that it is no longer her life, no longer being concerned with her pride (or status)...just  pleasing the King of Kings! Thank God for this precious WOMAN. I say woman; for no longer can anyone imagine a child now as we saw in the beginning of this portion of scripture. I can just see her, as she pushes her shoulders back, throws out her arms strait up with a huge smile and wide eyed saying; "HERE I AM GOD...I am Yours!"

Is that our response? Knowing what may be ahead? You see, in this Word we learn about a young woman who LOVED God. She was truly in the Presence of God at this moment, as He sent His messenger angel to speak with her. Where are we? Are we so busy running here and there we cannot even hear God when He is calling out? Are we constantly filling our minds and spirits with social media in all types and forms, that the Word of God is muted? He is calling out His children but many are not hearing Him.

Mary wasn't finished was she! After she made herself the Hand maide (a bond servant); she continued her declaration- "...Let it be to me according to your word.” Have Thine Own Way Lord, remember that song? This is what Mary was saying to God...what ever You chose for my life, I will obey You all the Way. If she didn't... then what? Well, she would have missed out (for I know God always completes His plans regardless).  Mary obeyed, eventually so did Joseph. Though the times were quite difficult for them both-through their amazing lives; the entire world knows of the One and Only Savior for their souls.

Now, it's our turn isn't it. For the end has not yet come. But, God has prophesied there will be many in the last days that will arise with a great anointing to preach the truth. As well many who will be persecuted, put in prison and suffer. But, our lives are not ours...we must be bond slaves as well; and say to the Lord as He is calling us out; "...Be it unto me, according to Your Word."

Reward in Life

trophy, cup, awards, competition, download free vector graphic
Indulge me as I share a quote that strikes at the core of the soul:
"We're not going to be rewarded for being successful.
We will be rewarded for being faithful."
Rev. Paul F. Gray
No matter what we do or not...there is promised a reward. We do determine what reward we are reaching for; being it monetary, physical, emotional, social and then spiritual. What we invest in the most is where the reward usually comes in...correct?
Is this it? Our hope for life? Are we going about this LIFE that was given to us with the right directive?
Maybe we need to think not only about the reward, but take notice on; WHO is going to give us this reward? Will this reward just reflect ME and stop right at my feet or will my rewards continue on for the generations? One more question; what is the motive that even motivates us to attain the rewards we long for?
Contemplating all of this (if allowed) can move our spirits, bringing us hopefully to a place of total surrender to the One Who did create us for a great PURPOSE; Who has many rewards to shower upon us!
The big problem with humans though is we want our REWARD now! We want to SEE it, play with it, use it and then sit it on shelf for others to see as it collects dust.
Unfortunately, real life isn't like that....recall with me the scripture- deep calls unto the deep (Ps.42:7). The God of the universe formed us, breathed His life into us...made us into HIS image! Life is far more than the rewards that are just temporary ... life is eternal! The mindset of God's children: is to attain the Prize that can both be for now, yet more importantly; for eternity! Furthermore, this type of a reward  takes a life time, it requires sacrifice and obedience. As the quote above stated it takes being FAITHFUL!
In my devotions today with my daughter we read Galatians 6, in verse 8 we are given a true hard core lessen of complete truth.
"For he who sows to his own flesh (lower nature, sensuality) will from the flesh reap decay and ruin and destruction, but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life."
Amen! So true as we grow deeper in Jesus, as we face insurmountable trials-the deep now is in tune with the deep: HIS SPIRIT! Our steps each day mean more; affecting other lives for eternity. One great reward...A SOUL,  a life changed because of your life...saved from the pits of hell to life everlasting with Jesus! Numero Uno-bestest reward EVER!
God has so much for us here on this earth but even more so in Heaven above!  "His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'" [Matt. 25:21]
It will be worth it all...when we see Jesus-Just one glimpse of His dear face:

Families Bringing Glory to God

[This is from Mom's Praying For the Generations blog.]
Prayer: Families Bringing Glory to God

Today in church my husband and I taught that in Christian lives our ultimate goal is for Christ to gain ALL the glory. Differing from the worldview here in American and all across the globe, where 'I' get's the glory.

This Thursday, families are coming together to eat, play, laugh and simply enjoy one another. Now is the time to give glory to God within our families.

When this happens, people see Jesus and desire Him for their lives. The most powerful witnessing tool IS the family. While children are still young exhibiting  the graces of our Lord people WILL take NOTE and start watching.

When families are out in public; praying before meals, laughing and showing respect and love---many will see Jesus! In all of that God is getting the Glory. So, let's pray for our families as a unit to have unity, love and Jesus--Giving God the Glory!

Romans 15:5-13

Amplified Bible (AMP)
5Now may the God Who gives the power of patient endurance (steadfastness) and Who supplies encouragement, grant you to live in such mutual harmony and such full sympathy with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus,
6That together you may [unanimously] with united hearts and one voice, praise and glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah).
7Welcome and receive [to your hearts] one another, then, even as Christ has welcomed and received you, for the glory of God.
8For I tell you that Christ (the Messiah) became a servant and a minister to the circumcised (the Jews) in order to show God's truthfulness and honesty by confirming (verifying) the promises [given] to our fathers,
9And [also in order] that the Gentiles (nations) might glorify God for His mercy [not covenanted] to them. As it is written, Therefore I will praise You among the Gentiles and sing praises to Your name.(A)
10Again it is said, Rejoice (exult), O Gentiles, along with His [own] people;(B)
11And again, Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and let all the peoples praise Him!(C)
12And further Isaiah says, There shall be a [a]Sprout from the Root of Jesse, He Who rises to rule over the Gentiles; in Him shall the Gentiles hope.(D)
13May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope.

SnowDEN with the Fam': FIGHT OF FAITH

SnowDEN with the Fam': FIGHT OF FAITH

Calling all recruits...

(a newly enlisted or drafted member of the armed forces)! God is looking for men, woman & children who want to be actively fighting the fight of faith! Come one, come all--join God's Glorious Army!
Do you remember a song sung by the group Acappella called; Army of the Lord? I loved listening to it when I was a freshly graduated Bible school student, just married my soul mate and we were going out together to FIGHT for God and win great victories! Oh yea...we were pumped! Then life happened. As it did, we became a bit on the tired side, and yes SIR-very weary in battle.

Today, in this millennium, the meaning of fighting the fight of faith has been morphed into a pansy-wansy-wimpy Christian life style. When God needs His soldiers, majority are not in the FIELDS OF WAR...or in other terms the fields needing to be harvested. They are many at the M.A.S.H. units being nursed and healed back to health after being wounded. Most are home; deciding not to re-enlist.
No Christian would want to say they would be the later. But, lets be honest. When we attend church not only do we see the lives of our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, it's time to reflect upon ourselves in this

Reflecting involves pondering these questions in our hearts honestly.
-Is most of my time spent on ME, for my comfort and entertainment?
-When I do volunteer and teach a Sun.School class, go door-to-door or street witness, take a missions trip across the nation or world do I get hurt and frustrated and QUIT?
-What about my I ponder more than pray?

I believe because of how our culture today is basically built around comfort and entertainment; so much so, that when the battle does get rough we just wimp out. Let's face it; this is 'A Hard Truth.'
Did God promise us  when we devoted our lives to Him and would follow Jesus wherever He leads...that every place would be a 'Rose Garden'? Of course not! The road marked with suffering, that is the road our Jesus walked, the disciples, our forefathers and fellow brothers and sisters in Christ in restricted nations (countries where government policy or practice prevents Christians from publicly serving Him in every capacity). I ask; "Why, should we be any different just simply because we live in the richest country in the entire world?"

If our spiritual eyes are opened, then the view is quite clear that Christianity is defined quite differently in this current world than what it is in God's Word. Living the life God called us is becoming more and more of a
challenge; isn't it?

Now more than ever it's time we the church decide to get back on our feet knowing good and well we are going to get tired and wounded. Yet, we must press in; there are souls to rescue. Millions are needing someone who care, someone who is willing to sacrifice their comforts, their finances and even popularity to spend their time, money and energies fighting that Good fight of faith! A great example of sacrificing 'ALL' for the lost of YES, even mind  travels to true SUPER WARRIORS of the faith-the Christians in China. Facing imprisonments, beatings, houses and churches set aflame; yet they 'stay the course!' Praise God! Today the 'under-ground' church in China is one of the largest and fastest growing in the world. []

My husband and I have been pastoring for many years now. As we talk with fellow pastors, the common struggle is encouraging God's People to join in this War we all are fighting. Help in the battle, help in the fields of harvest. Many are busy so busy...yet the battle for souls is still happening. Do you know that three people die every second, 180 every minute? Isn't that enough to know right now to just lay down self and take on God's Armour and go out and join this Army of God today?
How do we fight?  It's simple (please read this powerful verse):

2 Corinthians 10:3-6 "For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons. For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One), Being in readiness to punish every [insubordinate for his] disobedience, when your own submission and obedience [as a church] are fully secured and complete."

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have

kept the faith."   2 Timothy 4:7

I know it's hard; believe me, if you have followed me on face book lately or even the past few years-trust me, I know. But, every precious soul is worth it! Every life God has entrusted in my path is worth it. Goodness I personally get very tired, hurt and yep I wanna QUIT! But, my love for Jesus, Who in turn fills me with an abundance of passion for others causes me to move forward and fight on.
You can too...we do not have much longer. So, keep the faith...fight the fight and WIN!

Army of the Lord
Are we walking into the enemy's camp, laying our weapons down
shedding our armor as we go, leaving it on the ground?
We've gotta be strong in the power of his might and prove to the enemy
We are the army of the Lord and we've won the victory.

All around us a war's going on between the wrong and the right
We've gotta choose which side we're on-the darkness or the light
Some of the soldiers of the Lord just don't realize
that the captain of the army of darkness has come to blind their eyes

Repeat Chorus

Can't you see that we're in a battle and there's no place to hide?
The shields of faith are full of darts and their shooting from every side
Just shake out the darts and run right at em' and remember who you're fighting for
Don't fall asleep cuz' if they catch ya' they'll take you prisoner of war

Repeat Chorus (x2)

We are the army of the Lord and we've won the victory!

MOVE THAT STONE! A Prophetic Word for the church today.

The Lord's Presence is just wonderful to bask in as we set aside some time to really dig in, worshiping at His feet. Just a few moments ago as I was seeking the Lord; just hungry for Him and interceding for others I clearly heard this message from Him.
These are His Words...His Heart; yes-this is a prophetic word from God. I ask you open up your spirit to hear what He is saying to His people!

There has been a drought all across the lands (I am writing this parentheses statement in the summer of 2012; we are in...they say in the news the worse drought in the United States History in 50 years). [As well as they stated on worse large scale disaster in the U.S. history.]

In the souls of people. For far too long; the heart of man’s appetite has been thirsty for the things of this world that has only depleted him and not made him into what created man to be.
I said in the last days that I would send a latter day rain…one that will make a new land.
Hearts must be open to receive this rain from heaven. I long to bless this nation and all who are thirsty.
Thirsty…THIRSTY…finally realizing they need the WATER of Life. Nothing else will satisfy.
We look around my children and I …we just see death. Smell death…feel death. Death is powerful…it is hopeless, there is no joy, reason to sing…there is no LIFE.
Yet, Lazarus died didn’t he?
Did that deter me? I still came! I STILL CAME…I STILL CAME!
My authority came as I instructed them to move away the stone…
MOVE THAT GRAVE STONE! The stone between death and life…between Death & ME…true LIFE & LIGHT!
Yet, now. I am calling out to my children to move the stone…but no one is…they accepted the death. It’s ridiculous to do this.
Today, I am asking again…to my children…MOVE THE STONE!
Then, I shall call forth and say…”CHURCH … MY CHILDREN, COME FORTH!”
Indeed that is you-the church; the ragged clothes still on…but that won’t last I promise.
Hear Me!
Your garments of living will be placed on you as the burial clothes will be discarded…permanently!
It’s time to leave the funeral! Stop grieving…Start living…
As Lazarus was my dear disciple and close friend.
It’s time for you to be my close friend. In that you will find true LIFE and LIVING!
Too much of world …that is what is stopping you. Step away…hear my voice and my heart…
I didn’t put that stone there! Man did!
I instructed man as they obeyed my voice to move that stone.
Man is NOT greater than I.
Many have given up and allowed death to have it’s sting. That is wrong!
Too many of My Children are the mourners … when I am here; I have never left.
This is the time to start living again. Rise & Be healed…rise and go…do all -with Me.
This will help you not walk in the dark paths that do lead to death & hell. But, with me…your decisions will be holy, leading not just yourself but others to My Throne!

John 11:38-53

38"Now Jesus, again sighing repeatedly and deeply disquieted, approached the tomb. It was a cave (a hole in the rock), and a boulder lay against [the entrance to close] it.
39Jesus said, Take away the stone. Martha, the sister of the dead man, exclaimed, But Lord, by this time he [is decaying and] throws off an offensive odor, for he has been dead four days!
40Jesus said to her, Did I not tell you and [a]promise you that if you would believe and rely on Me, you would see the glory of God?
41So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.
42Yes, I know You always hear and listen to Me, but I have said this on account of and for the benefit of the people standing around, so that they may believe that You did send Me [that You have made Me Your Messenger].
43When He had said this, He shouted with a loud voice, Lazarus, come out!
44And out walked the man who had been dead, his hands and feet wrapped in burial cloths (linen strips), and with a [burial] napkin bound around his face. Jesus said to them, Free him of the burial wrappings and let him go.
45Upon seeing what Jesus had done, many of the Jews who had come with Mary believed in Him. [They trusted in Him and adhered to Him and relied on Him.]"

"And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:" Daniel 9:3
It's time NOW...we have no more time but to...PRAY! It's a busy world we live in isn't it? Personally, my family and I have somewhere to go and something to do at a continual basis.
We are WORE out! I look at my husband who is a father of 3, Pastor, owns his own Carpentry/Roofing business, in the Ministers Alliance, and an Area Director for the Voice of the Martyrs- I see before me an exhausted man. Yet, like everyone else we can't stop going!
The Lord is calling His Children to;  "come and dine", "seek till you find me", "cry out to me!"
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Out of a deep NEED and DESPERATION for what God wants for our lives...we, as His children will turn to FASTING as we pray.
Fasting always relates to food in God's Word. Withholding oneself from simply eating. Yet, as we do this as a desire for more of God; wanting His all to be in complete control of our lives, for His Hand to move on us-healing the spiritual, physical, emotional, financial, marital, family, our churches and land. You see, there is nothing our God cannot do...yet we can get in His way.
The time we spend fasting and praying will take us into dimensions with Him we may never experience else wise.
I was just counselling a young lady who is needing some spiritual and emotional healing in her life. At the same time she also has a passion to be used of God in a ministry capacity. The Lord impressed on me to tell her that she needs to take time out of her crazy schedule...TO STOP THE HORSES! Get out of the buggy of life to fast and pray.
This is what God has shown me:
When you start to fast and pray He will take you down this path...
1st You will be fighting anger, hurt and pain. God is going to bring things to the surface in your life that you never really wanted to deal with. But, it's time and He wants it out of your life.
2nd Once He has been allowed to cleanse you, there will be this feeling of being antsy. Your heart/soul will feel a bit barren...empty. Fear may try to creep in. Here is where you surrender totally to Jesus-invite Him into every crevice of your life. He will too!
3rd Fulfillment has come as Jesus has been allowed to fill you up with His Holy Spirit. You will feel invincible...that is the anointing of the Holy Spirit!
4th This is when you then MAKE YOUR SUPPLICATIONS...that is your requests known to God. You will have His Word with you...quoting His promises of healing, provision, directions and so on. You will know by faith, mountains are being moved.
5th The Lord will then may not be during this time period. But, He will! His anointing will draw you into His Will for your life. You should pray the prayer of favor as God will also bring people to your life to be that answer of prayer.
Lastly, you will be a new you! His child in total fulfillment living the life He has created you for! Isn't that what life is really all about anyways?

Those who have taken time to read this...I challenge you; only as God leads you...take that TIME-OUT in your crazy, busy life to simply SEEK HIM.
After you do this, start a prayer meeting with a group of friends and pray together. Spread this blessing and see how God can use you to be a major part of a great break through needed in the difficult days we live.

If you do, stop back by and share your testimony here. If you already have had an amazing experience fasting and praying...share as well.

The Lord bless you and bless you again and again!

BOOK REVIEW: The Companion Guide to Beautiful Girlhood

Book Review By Daneille Gray Snowden :
By Shelley Noonan and Kimberly Zach                  Published by Pumpkin Seed Press
Mom's have you desired to teach your daughters vital life lessons-derived from God's Word using older woman's (mother's) wisdom they attained? Mabel Hale in the 1940's wrote Beautiful Girlhood; an excellent handbook for mother's and daughters to apply as young woman grow into womanhood.
In this Companion, the authors purpose is to apply Biblical passage with a spiritual application. She used questions to ponder, assignments to read certain Bible texts and interactions between a mother and daughter.
Published in 2000; Shelley Noonan has since toured the country sharing her heart on the subject matters covered in Beautiful Girlhood in addition to several other aspects of Godly Woman/Girlhood.
There are 32 character lessons taught through-out both book and companion. Subjects such as friendships, showing respect to your elders/others, outward beauty, presenting ourselves as ladies, relationship with boys, dreams they have-how it lines up to God's plan for their lives, being truthful and the list continues. I had a wonderful, sweet godly mother who was also a true lady. She poured into me God's Word. Yet, I so wish she knew of Mabel Hales book when I was a young girl. Shelley Noonan has been  used by God to directly line up my heart according to God's Word on how to not only be a Woman of God but a Mother to my children as He designed it. My 12 year old daughter simply 'Get's It'! As we follow the format Shelley has laid...the lessons taught are ingrained not only in our minds but souls!

After we read Beautiful Girlhood together; we begin with a few discussion questions (causing     mother and daughter to converse on vital, deep and heart felt subjects). Following this,  the Companion takes us to Biblical application and activities. My daughter has been taught from the characters in God's Word who have lived out that particular godly character being taught in each chapter. Finally, a Journal is being written by my daughter as Shelley challenges and encourages the reader to write their thoughts about the scriptures she has read and how they distributed that distinct character being taught.
Shelley also has a blog site that follows along this same format as she adds even more inspirational teachings and thoughts from God's Word. It is: .
I encourage you to click onto Pumpkin Seed Press and order both Beautiful Girlhood and the Companion Guide. I promise you it will be an amazing blessing to you and your daughters as well as increase your relationship with one another as it has with my daughters and I.
