When I was 7 years old I was born again! Five years later, the Lord filled me with His Holy Spirit and called me out to serve in full time service in the ministry. My heart is missions and a longing to love people into God's Kingdom.
I love to teach God's Word, pray with people and write.
Soon, we are hoping our Jesus opens amazing doors to walk into mission endeavors.

Morning Song

Morning Song

"Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives." Ps. 90:14

Music, is God's gift to reach the heart of all people. Putting sweet sounds to 'heart-felt' words brings everything we know and feel to life. Every day seems to have a song; some days are fun filled days where we feel giddy and silly. Some are serious, hard-working days where the song is right to the point. Irregardless, this heart for music and singing poetic words to it comes from our great Composer and Author of life - our God.

I know the Word of God says that He spoke the world into existence; I wonder when He made us if maybe He was singing a sweet tune as well. After all, we were created to worship. Isaiah 43:21 "The people I formed for Myself, that they may set forth My praise [and they shall do it]."  On a little silly/side note, I wonder what tune God sang when he made you and myself. Oh, I think I could see the smile on His face with a chuckle too.
I was reading a book by one of my favorite authors (Karen Mains); she attributed to a book while writing a chapter on singing unto the Lord. She pulled this quote from the novel; Romona. Describing a custom from a devoted Mexican family.

"...As the first ray reached the window, he would throw the casement wide
open, and standing there with bared head, strike up the melody of the sun-
rise hymn...At the first dawn of light the oldest member of the family
arose, and began singing some hymn familiar to the household. It  was
the duty of each person hearing it to immediately rise, or at least sit up
in bed, and join in singing, and the joyous sounds pouring out of the house
were like the music of the birds in the fields at dawn. The hymns were usually
invocations...and the melodies were sweet and simple."

Every morning as the referenced scripture above says; I want to pull back the curtains of my life and gaze up into the SON and sing a lovely HYMN OF PRAISE to Him- always to the end of my life. I believe this would reformat our minds and emotions thus lightening our spirits giving great strength and joy to achieve all God has planned for us.

Bless you today, may His Song fill your soul abundantly! With you showing forth the praises of Him, Who indeed has called us all out of darkness into a glorious light!

Psalm 33:3 "Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully [on the strings] with a loud and joyful sound."

Daneille Gray Snowden just sharing a small devotional with you from the book of Psalms. I pray that this fills any void you may be experiencing right now. That this anointed word will increase your heart as you strive daily to walk only closer to your Lord.

Psalm 145:14-19

Amplified Bible (AMP)
14 The Lord upholds all those [of His own] who are falling and raises up all those who are bowed down.
The Lord of our lives, our loving Savior looks lovingly upon us. He see's our hearts, and our bodies plus He hears the cry of our hearts. It says that He UPHOLDS; this is-
to defend, as against opposition or criticism /to keep up or keep from sinking; support .
Isn't that absolutely so cool? This calms my soul, He is my support, my defense and will not allow me to sink.
He supports those of us who --ARE FALLING! I had those dreams (and I sure you have had them too) where I dreamed I was falling and falling; finally waking up before the actual kirthump. That initial fear of falling is so overwhelming. But, HE upholds us that are falling. He understands that sometimes we just have nothing else to hold us up anymore. God is saying; "That's ok- I got ya!"
He also raises up those who are BOWED DOWN. I think that majority of the time we humans are bowed down, even more than falling. Just wore out, bored, not excited about life anymore. But our God says; "No, no...there is so much more I have for you and your life. I am going to raise you up above all of this around you. Your head will no longer be bowed low."
15 The eyes of all wait for You [looking, watching, and expecting] and You give them their food in due season.
I so enjoyed sharing this portion of scripture with my children tonight. I told them that this reminded me when they were iddy biddy. When they would come to me really hungry wanting something to eat. Their eyes would not start wandering off of mama cause she was then busying her hands to make something tasty, yet healthy for her baby. With gazing eyes and hands outstretched they waited and expected mama to meet this request.
Father, help us all to LOOK-UP to you, watching and expecting You to fulfill what You have spoken to us in Your word. Here it says; "You give them their food in due season."
16 You open Your hand and satisfy every living thing with favor.
Isn't that just truly amazing? All our God has to do is OPEN HIS HAND! Favor: granted out of goodwill / the state of being approved / excessive kindness / a gift bestowed as a token of goodwill,
kind regard, loveetc.
17 The Lord is [rigidly] righteous in all His ways and gracious and merciful in all His works.
18 The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him sincerely and in truth.
The King of Kings, Lord (ruler) of our hearts is right here as well as right there where you are my friend, YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Call out on the Name of Jesus, He is longing for you to call.
19 He will fulfill the desires of those who reverently and worship fully fear Him; He also will hear their cry and will save them.
Fulfill! This is my word. I hate feeling unfulfilled.  It is what aches me more than anything else. It haunts my spirit and it is what can bring me down to my lowest pit. I know that God has created each and every soul for a high PURPOSE! God has called me out to be His servant. To love others into His Kingdom. To lay my life down for a friend. To lead many to the saving grace of Jesus.
There are many desires in each person, some have material desires, emotional and possibly desires for their careers. If they are birthed into your heart as you are in His Presence worshiping Him with all you are - His desires will be yours. There will also be a unity of heart, (thus Christ hearing your cry) do know that YOU WILL BE and are saved by His Hand.
Thank You God for this amazing portion of Your Word. We cling tightly to each verse and believe You do hear us and are UPHOLDING US. That indeed you will bring favor and fulfill the desires You have birthed within our hearts.
  Glory to God!

Breast Cancer Awareness To My Readers

It was the results from my MG SCREENING (Mammogram). IT WAS NORMAL! I give my God all the praise for this.

My mammographer told me; after the age of 40 they like to see ladies get a screening on a yearly basis. Ouch...I had not done that. I was over due 5 yrs. from my last one. I am one that gets a bit squeamy when I try to examine myself. Yet, mind over matter is far more important than to miss a lump only to discover it too late.

Many of my readers are woman, hey most of my friends are woman! Go figure! So...I want to put out a 'holler' to all of you--get your MG Screenings! Do your breast exams weekly...if not monthly. There are so many that love you and need you.

I want to direct you to an author, and one of my dear friends who this past year detected a lump only to discover that she too had indeed breast cancer. Her name is Victoria, who is mother of 2, married and has served the Lord faithfully for many years. Please join her as she takes you on her Cancer Journey only for many to be encouraged and see that WITH JESUS- there is strength for every step taken.

MY CANCER JOURNEY by Victoria Stankus

Did you know that around 39,620 woman are projected to die in the year 2013? {According to the American Cancer Society.} It is the second leading cause of death in woman.

Good news there are 2.9 million breast cancer survivors in the U.S!

Types of breast cancer range from:
1.) Hormone Sensitive Breast cancer: Fueled by estrogen & progesterone. About 2 out of 3 are hormone sensitive.
2.) HER2 Positive Breast Cancer: High protein receptors (HER2 +). 20% cancer patients have this.

Stages of Breast Cancer: {How big the tumor is and the extent of it spreading.} 4 Stages from Normal to Invasive.

SURVIVAL!   Depends on how early the cancer is discovered.
"According to the American Cancer Society, 100% of women with Stage 1 breast cancer live at least five years, compared to women without cancer -- and many women in this group remain cancer-free for good. The more advanced the cancer, the lower this figure becomes."

Types of Breast Cancer Surgeries
Lumpectomy : Take out the area around the lump & lump itself.
Mastectomy : Removing the entire breasts.

Radiation Therapy: High energy rays to kill the cancer cells; with side affects fatigue, swelling & sunburn feeling.
Chemotherapy: Often IV drugs to kill cancer cells; (sometimes by pills & shots)
Hormone Therapytreatment for women with ER-positive or PR-positive breast cancer.

So, please my friend first 'tune-in' to Vickie's blog and second: Do your weekly/monthly self exams then thirdly go in for a MG Screening! Your life is worth it!

Know this: With God...ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!
