When I was 7 years old I was born again! Five years later, the Lord filled me with His Holy Spirit and called me out to serve in full time service in the ministry. My heart is missions and a longing to love people into God's Kingdom.
I love to teach God's Word, pray with people and write.
Soon, we are hoping our Jesus opens amazing doors to walk into mission endeavors.

Luke 17 :17 “Were there not ten cleansed? But the nine—where are they? 18 Was no one found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?”

Recently, as I meditated on the Lord and was just praising Him, He brought my mind back to this portion of scripture. A simple story of Jesus healing the 10 lepers and only 1 man came back to thank Him and give Him the glory.

Makes your heart sad doesn't it, to see how people can receive such a blessed touch of God; relieving them of horrific pain, and even death and be ungrateful. It's that 'heart' who God is richly blessed that see's WHO and WHERE their blessings come from!

"Leprosy is a terrible condition where a person’s skin begins to rot and fall off. Many lepers lose all of their fingers and toes because of the disease. It is very painful and smelly. You could tell if a person had leprosy because their body would be covered with sores. People with these sores are commonly referred to as lepers." [From:] This still exist in many countries in the world.

Sin still exist too today; the result of sin is separation from God. Sin leads to depravation and destruction. Jesus shed His Blood to save all man, woman and child from sin and death. PtL for an open door to HOPE and LIFE! Yet, many just simply don't care. God breathed life into each of us, where is the thanks and appreciation He deserves?  Human nature see's only within the realm of 'SELF' and selfish needs and desires. To stop and see LOVE that was defined by self sacrifice is frightening! To give homage to this may mean I have to stop thinking about 'ME'.

Another observation the Lord revealed to me was so many don't want  TO SEE AND ACKNOWLEDGE HIS MIRACULOUS TOUCH!  For example; when someone almost runs into you with their car as your driving. Instead of seeing God's protecting Hand, the response usually is; it's good driving. When we find a job, instead of giving God the praise we chop it up with all our hard work looking for one.

We start feeling better, we just say; "Well, all in due time we have recovered." We lean more to flesh for what is truly a gift from God.

Look at this story and understand it was the Samaritan that came running back to Jesus. Jews had nothing to do with Samaritans; so much they wouldn't even touch one another. The other nine that were healed were Jews. For Jews to be declared 'unclean' in leprosy, as well as 'clean' it all had to be done by the Priests which was a long, long ceremonial process. This was not so for the Samaritan. He didn't have to be 'unlearned' from the ceremonial/religious ways. He just fell down and worshipped Jesus!

I like what one of my favorite preachers (David Wilkerson) shared; "Of the many multitudes He has cleansed and made whole, only a remnant are drawn back to Him! So where are all the others? I'll tell you where - they are in the same place the nine healed lepers ended up: lost in the church! 90 percent of those who are touched by Jesus end up going back to some dead, dry church. They never get into Jesus - because they get lost in religion! "

'The other nine  went back to the priest, to church, society, respect and the good life.'  Do we see this today? God blesses in various ways; by answered prayers no matter how big or small, then what?

The question is; 'Who do we want to be?'  Self-centered, religious, or like that crazy...passionate happy Samaritan; and FALL DOWN AT JESUS FEET?  So many are embarrassed to raise their hands in worship at church, shout an 'amen' or praise the Lord. People turn red when they are hangin out with me and I am in a public place smiling, laughing and sharing God's Love with even strangers.

God has done so much for me; Jesus died for me...He still puts up with my messed up life and LOVES ME. I have seen, and received many blessings AND miracles; YES, I am going to praise Him in the most passionate way, as He receives the Glory.

So, you can pay your bills because ya work hard every week. Praise Him...tell all how much He has blessed you in this way.
You are able to be athletic and exercise cause you work out daily. Thank Him for the breath in your lungs and the body to move.
You have a wonderful marriage that wasn't always that way; PRAISE HIM! Tell others because of Jesus our marriage is amazing.

Psalms 107:1
"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, and his loyal love endures! 2 Let those delivered by the Lord speak out, those whom he delivered from the power of the enemy,"

"Two roads diverged in a wood and I - I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference." Robert Frost

When my family was smaller (my husband, son & I); went on a vacation into the lower Rockies. I have had the blessed experience of traveling through the Smoky Mountains; but this was an entire new adventure in itself.  My husband knew my dread of heights and tried to keep me calm. But, how can one ignore the beauty of God's creation in such magnitude, as I inspected those mountains!
Then it happened; the road became narrow, space for two vehicles were squeezed tight and the shoulder -- where was the shoulder of the road? Ha! All we saw was 'NOTHING'!
My enjoyment of God's great beauty burst and what evolved was panic! It didn't help that the air was actually thinning as I felt myself hyperventilating!  It was fun, adventurous, momentous even and I wouldn't trade that little (big) trip for anything! The experience was priceless! We saw places we had not seen together as a couple before and sense.

Twenty years later; in my time with the Lord, He brought me back to that summer and our needed vacation. Ya see, I was reflecting on our life, and ministry with all it's ups and downs. At that moment, I must admit- I was down. I asked the Lord;
"Why did we have to travel down a different route a lot of others haven't?" [I.E. - the smaller churches, challenges with being new in a community, financial, physical and the emotional difficulties as well.]  Then God took me to the winding roads up the Rocky Mountains.

My dear Heavenly Father reminded me saying; "I called you, not you or others. I saw the lost souls, the unloved, the misunderstood that are not among the crowds but off by the way side. I needed One of My children to love on them. I knew you would do this.
Those among the wayside saw your struggles and that caught
their hearts attention. It was the 'net' that drew them to Me.
And your faithfulness has only drawn You even closer to my heart as well.
I know the road less travelled is long and quite lonely. Many don't understand you and the vision I have placed within your soul. Yet, I placed My Hand of Favor on Your lives; with that there is an eternal Joy that strengthens your feet to move on.
As you look back and see how far you've come, and all the many places + faces you've encountered - in your soul may your spirit rejoice seeing the fruit multiplied!"

This has been my encouragement as we are now on another winding road; to a place quite unfamiliar. All we want to do is LOVE those along the way. To stop and minister fully to them, filling all with His Hope and Purpose.

Our thrust is: trusting in the Lord's leading as the patriarch Abraham who took the step forward with His family obeying God's Voice to leave His kin and pursue the Call!  Many didn't understand him, he left his friends and all he knew (from his culture) to please His God! [Acts 7:2-3  "Ur was justified in its boast of being a highly developed civilization.he turned his back on a great metropolis, setting out by faith for a land about which he knew little or nothing and which could probably offer him little from a standpoint of material benefits." [link]
Genesis 12:1: “Now the Lord said to Abram, ‘Go forth from your country, and from your relatives and from your father’s house, to the land which I will show you.’”

"By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going." Hebrews 11:8

As I gaze back in the beginning of my life-walk in the ministry;
I saw a willing and passionate couple who yet, had so much to learn and grow in (and still do). Both of us feeling like Abraham who, " the point of his call, he was a man whose faith was meager; real, but meager." [ quote]

Are you on the 'ROAD LESS TRAVELED'? May I encourage you to 'STAY THE COARSE!'  It is worth it; every single life touched, and faith that has grown will and is even now producing lasting harvest for eternity and God's Glory!
