"AND YOU SHALL CALL HIS NAME...JESUS"

AND YOU SHALL CALL HIS NAME... By Daneille Gray Snowden    As we all are basking in this blissful holiday season, I find myself telling my loved-ones: 'Merry CHRISTmas' on their Christmas cards. As I do, my mind's eyes peers back to the night when the greatest event ever happened: the birth of our all powerful, loving Savior- JESUS !    The simple, yet direct assignment to Joseph was indisputable! That is to name the baby of whom Mary will give birth to; Jesus ! In the Hebrew Jesus is Yeshua ; which means to ' rescue ', to ' deliver ' and to ' save '.   Matthew 1:21   " She will bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus [the Greek form of the Hebrew Joshua, which means Savior], for He will save His people from their sins [that is, prevent them from  failing and missing the true end and scope of life, which is God]." [ampl.]   Yahu in the Hebrew word Yeshua, stands for God [YHWH: which is a saving cry]. The second p

OCCUPY YOUR PRISON

OCCUPY YOUR PRISON    By Daneille Gray Snowden Saeed Abidini, a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and an American citizen has been imprisoned for over a year in Iran. He was arrested as he was opening an orphanage. Beaten, hungry, laying in a dark prison; Saeed has been able to lead several to Christ. God has opened doors to hurting souls; hidden away from the rest of the world; to shed His Glorious Light on them.     We as Christians love to read about others who God is using, even in their own adverse circumstances. We find ourselves admiring our brothers and or our sisters in the Lord who face difficulties and triumph by reaching out to others. And, we should admire them as well rejoice as God is using the circumstance to infuse the Gospel into the deepest and darkest places of a man's soul.    Yet, everywhere I can turn my little head I see people all around in their own particular prisons. Some our self built. But, many more are in prison's of depravity, pain

IN THE MIDST OF CHAOS

IN THE MIDST OF CHAOS   By Daneille Gray Snowden   (c)Daneille Snowden     I have counselled and held some conversations just within this past week with people who are really 'STRESSED' and presently seeing their lives in chaos. Some are committed servants in God's Kingdom, working hard daily serving Him full time. Other's are parents, and grandparents that never dreamed of life being so crazy! None have stated that they were enjoying themselves either. No, quite the contrary; they are being stretched and beginning to break.   I have been there, you have too and likely-we will be possibly again. We live in a world full of evil, with people unknowingly (mostly) serving this evil too. Without any firm foundation; the buildings will crumble.  I Corinthians 3:11 -  " For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ."    Chaos means a total lack of order. Lack means nothing, zero, just plain ole' empty! Wh

WE HAVE A WORK TO BE DONE

Inspired by the Holy Spirit through His daughter Daneille Gray Snowden Neh. 3:6 "T he Old Gate Joiada son of Paseah and Meshullam son  of Besodeiah repaired. They laid its beams and  set up its doors, its bolts,  and its bars." I was recently reading in Nehemiah, God directed me to this passage and today; it has only impacted my spirit even more. We recall in ch. 1 that he is told about the disastrous state of his homeland, as it had been obliterated by their enemies. He prays and fasts for 4 months. Later the King gives him favor to go build the walls (ch.2) . Then on down in ch. 2:11-15 ; he rides (in the night ALONE) on his horse/donkey (he called a beast) and surveys the walls as he prays to his God. The result: God uses him to get the walls up in 52 days!  This caused me to think of the 'state' of the family; especially Church families. The stat.'s state that when a youth hits 18 about 80% leave the church (most develop their own religion-thus

DATING YOUR SPOUSE

DATING YOUR SPOUSE                 My husband Brad and I went on what we called a date today. Well, we both admitted...it was an effort date that flopped. But, the effort was the fact. We got away in the afternoon, driving thirty minutes to our destination. As we drove- the agenda was set; we eat, then he drops me off at Wal Mart, he gets new tires put on our van, then finally, we drive home. What's funny this was 'ok' for both of us. The effort and the special one on one time, was there. Also, we know that one day soon, we will have another date and work a bit harder on the romantic part soon. [Smile] This did cause me to dwell a bit on dating our spouses. I was thinking back though the years on our little dates we had before kids; wow there were several and fancy. We painted the town red! Then the offspring came; slowing down the dating scene to a rarity. Anyone ever been there? If we did get away we would be a bit nervous being separated from our babies. I want

BLIND FAITH

BLIND FAITH!!!  Ever heard that said? Faith really is believing w/o seeing. Or is it? On a personal level for myself (& my family); as we have declared we only long to draw closer to our Lord, to be in His Perfect Will doing His Work to bless others. To escort one's who do not know Him as Lord in this saved/Savior relationship.  The storms arise and the darkness falls.  Yet, to accomplish this, the unwavering  faithful must be tried to be strengthened in the power of FAITH! We feel the inner man wavering. Emotions start taking over and despair blossoms out. BLIND FAITH is it really blind? Not really, blindness is no sight. Our vision should be filled with the Presence of Jesus-stilling us and causing our souls to stand fast in the storms surmounting all around. Say His Name-JESUS! Get alone and call out and be still and KNOW He is God. Then with His Sheltering Arms stand and see the salvation of your God. This is what we are doing as we face some of the greatest trials on

God's Plan of Suffering

God's Plan of Suffering   by Daneille Gray Snowden    I do not know one person, who in their personal lives are not facing some type of suffering. All of us will grieve, many of us have been and yes will be ill in one type or form. All of us will be emotionally hurt by others. Lastly, we will experience exhaustion to the point of being burned out.   In my life, God enriched me, by living in a very godly atmosphere.  I was then, and still am surrounded by His Love and Presence to the point I find myself greatly humbled.    Growing up in the ministry I was avowed the opportunity to learn more about my God by traveling down unique roads that pastors, and most ministers do take. We would be in homes where people were suffering from loss, abuse, illness, poverty and family struggles. We kids were blessed being there when our parents would pray through with these particular individuals seeing lives transformed.   BUT....this made the enemy of our God quite angry. Thus the battl

Our “Millennial Generation”

(c)DaneilleGraySnowdenJune2013 Our “Millennial Generation” by Daneille Gray Snowden The  “Millennial Generation” (under 30 yrs of age) is in  need of  zealous prayers by you- Prayer Warriors!  We all can agree in our own lives (and even families) that on  a continual basis we are seeing the belief system of young  people not deteriorating  but actually deteriorated! I know  this sounds quite hopeless...but we never stop as parents  who BELIEVE IN GOD;  having hope that God will rise  up this generation! He is pretty good about raising the  dead!  This generation of young adults has been lost in the society  of religion, for many years now. We cannot go back, but we  can start now by allowing the Holy Spirit to open our own  spiritual eyes to this truth. Just because our children hav e  attended church with us their entire lives, does NOT mean  they have an intimate relationship with Jesus. The HOME  is the foundation of their lives. What is allowed, what is
